COD Black Ops II

Finally had a chance to rent this yesterday but havent been able to play it yet. I will get some time in over the weekend if I can get myself away from Halo 4. Been playing that game for over 4 straight weeks without hitting the eject button.

Rented and beat the campaign over the weekend and played a little of the multiplayer. I am rank 10. Tried zombies but for some reason it would never load me with anyone. Not sure why that wasnt working.

Anyone get a chance to play this in 3d? I have a 3d tv but dont have the glasses anymore.

Yo, check this out.. I heard BOII got banned in places like Pakistan apparently, cos the missions are portrayed in some of the cities there.. and well, you can use your imagination thereon!

I havent but a good friend of mine has and he says it is VERY emersive....He says he cant handle it for long because it gets him sick.....

Havent played any multi player yet and have had the game since launch...love the multiplayer

I am 2nd prestige now and I just had one of the worst domination games ever (on Hijacked), luckily I was in a party with 2 friends and we got a combined 23 captures, 19 defends but the rest of our team... They were completely avoiding the objective until they decided to try and cap the 3rd flag which flipped the spawns and we ended up on the side of the ship which generally finds it harder to succeed and went from equal scores to lose by 60 points. I think out of my 37 deaths that game a maximum of 10 deaths were by guns, the rest was constant grenades, RPGs, Hunter Killers and Lightning Strikes.

On a more positive note I managed to get the gold RPG after working out that if you reload cancel (briefly sprint when it says you've reloaded but the animation is still going) you can use both shots to get it. I'm now on 4/10 player controlled scorestreaks shot down for the gold FHJ-18.

Thats why I can only handle COD multiplayer in very short doses. Its just not for me anymore. I rented it to play the campaign and a little of the multiplayer. But the COD multiplayer just isnt for me. I prefer the Halo multiplayer or BF3 multiplayer. The last COD I truly enjoyed was WAW with the 4 player co-op, death cards, and much more. I miss those days.

All you guys need to know is 'Chicom'. Get it, use it and laugh like a little school girl after each gunfight cause this gun is not even fair!

You are correct...Never used this gun until you mentioned it..But once I put the select fire and rapid fire on this thing it is a beast......Found my new favorite close quarters gun.....Gonna Prestige it

GOT it... YES! Finally got it...

Bros....I am positively blown away by what Black Ops II has to offer. I don't do MP and I will say this has got to have the best campaign so far. The visuals are to DIE for! I'm amazed they milked this much texture detail and crispiness out of the 360. But then again, Treyarch always did make the better looking COD games. Maybe even the ones with better storylines. Sound design is edge of the seat as always. Very tasteful and satisfying.

Absolutely hooked on to it. Most played game in my collection at the moment. FM4's taken a nice cozy backseat!

I've heard the campaign is quite good, I've only just finished the first Strikeforce mission which was surprisingly easy on veteran although I think it was glitched because there were about 10 enemies left at the end and none of them were moving. I'll have to try finish it some time soon.

Have now got bored of guns on multiplayer and have instead been playing with the knife which is easier than I expected (although not as easy as in MW2). Also been playing zombies with a friend who got the game yesterday and the highest we made it to was round 11 on Farm, the main problem was that he spent half the rounds texting so I had to keep reviving and his luck with the box was awful and then he lost a PaP Ray Gun because he stood in the fire waiting for it just as a round began so I couldn't revive him in time.

Well, I completely suck at the Strike Force missions. I think I was really tired and fatigued at the time, and the concentration and focus was a bit much. So I lost one team there, and I don't know what happenned with the Iran SF mission. I think I skipped it somehow by accident, so I don't know what that looks like. How do I go back to it?

SOLID campaign all in all, and the story seems to be falling together rather nicely. Must admit though, the level where Mendes is in a rage and just goes around murdering everybody around the base, was a bit comical and overdone. But then again they probably needed something to fill in the gaps. It's just a game, afterall.

I had a look on some other sites and apparently there are 5 Strike Force missions, the one I've completed is where you hold down 3 points near a research facility called FOB Spectre. From what I understand the Strike Force missions are only available for a certain amount of missions, I'm not too sure though, have you gone to mission select and pressed the button which allows you to switch between normal missions and Strike Force missions? If it's not there then I think you may have missed it.

Yep missed it, it says all three missions were a fail, and that the bad guys have occupied those places...

Oh well! Aa'still be haulin' ass in the storyline missions!

Man..can't say enough good things about this game. Treyarch has done some wonderful things with the engine. ROCK solid 60 fps! Wonder how these guys are taking it to the next level with the new Xbox. Just can't help but wonder... and fantasize a little!

Spent a couple hours on the multi-player last night with this and I have to say I have mixed feelings about it. I love the weapons and everything you can do with them. I love the fact that you can dive and go prone. I love the fact that they kept Kill Confirmed in the game. But for some reason my character just seems VERY animated when he runs and shoots.....The movement doesn't seem natural...From the way he lumbers when he runs just seems goofy.
Gonna give it another go at it tonight but all in all I think its a great purchase. The detail of what you can do with the perks opens up alot of different ways to play the game. But since Im so used to having 7 different classes with MW3 is going to take some getting used to.
Also I would advise not to play in League play at first...unless you have a few of your buds on....These guys kicked my ass last night...Realy dont understand it, maybe someone in here can clear it up for me....

I haven't played MW3 since I loaded BO2. I've yet to play a FPS where the movement WAS "natural" but I know what you mean. The character runs as if his hips belong on a 350 pound lady. I'm betting you'd agree. Don't give up. I play online nearly every night. Look me up. (provided Xbox is your format) I'm over 50 and still spank the living fire out of MOST players. We'll go "humble" some young pups... My id is IvStilGotItNmE. How fitting a name, huh?

So... did anyone else get the map pack? I've enjoyed the maps so far but Grind comes up way too often whereas I hardly see Mirage which I thought was a fun map for Hardpoint. Die Rise is alright I guess but being a person who likes leaderboards there are way too many glitches, I'm kind of hoping they reset all the Die Rise leaderboards when they fix the glitches, maybe with the glitches gone my friends would want to play normal zombies again.

Now have 7 gold weapons in multiplayer including the Five-Seven and now working towards my 8th with the Executioner. I've started getting much better at zombies now where I can usually hold my own till the mid-20's and have realised it's a lot of fun to play with randoms where the biggest objective seems to be reviving them, it's always fun having 17 revives by round 10.
