Host Introduction

Hello I'm Cold Warrior (PSN TheColdWarriors) the main host of series. I'm a long time Gran Turismo Player. I still own and play all the previous full game Gran Turismo's expect PSP. I love car racing of all kinds. I'll race just about everything. From a stock 1968 Fiat 500 to VGTs. I have great interest and respect of racing of yesterday. I like experiencing racing I was never able.

I'm also the host of Rinsky's 2021 Monthly Saturday Night Endurance Series.

Series Introduction

A league inspired by my favorite event from the first Gran Turismo. Which was the Normal Car World Speed Contest. And Gran Turismo 3 Polyphony Digital Cup which was a similar concept. Because it was something different. A series that you had to learn to adapt to your car strength and flaws. Instead of just tuning it away.

A 14 Race league featuring the top of the line supercars of Gran Turismo Sport in there pure unmodified form. Since this game maybe be nearing the end of it's online life. This series will only feature GT Sport Orginal Circuits. Because we might not ever these unique Race Tracks again. Races will be held on Saturday nights by my local time US Eastern Time.

Series Description

This series feature no class or BOP. Cars will be at stock performance. Any N class entries that meet all 4 these of requirements may enter. Must be a N class car. Must be a production car. Must have a real life model. Must be legal in least one major country at time of sale. Meaning no track cars, one off customs, or Gran Turismo only cars. Production Tuners are allowed if street legal. Only car qualifies for this.

There will good mix of 14 races on Orginal GTS tracks. Including to 12 road courses, 2 oval races, 1 Roval, 4 night races, 1 light wet, and 1 heavy wet race. Best of 10 of 14 races results will count for the championship. And other 4 will mysteriously disappear.

Races will be mix of lap and timed races. Race length will range between 1 to 2 hours. Lap races will be set to a specific distance.

If you get a time penalty for corner cutting or yellow flag violation. You must deplete your before the end of the next track sector. Failure to do so will result in further penalties. Also you may not use time gained from corner cutting or be in a yellow to gain position. You must give the position back or be penalized.

Minor contact with other cars will not be penalized as long as it not cause damaged, wreck, or shoved off another car the track. If reported a penalties may be called on one or both drivers depending on who is at fault.

Blocking is prohibited. You are permitted one defensive. These Supercars will carry a lot of speed into turns and don't race car grip to response to last minute moves.

All race pace cars have prior. No matter if you exiting the pit, recovering from a spin, wreck, or an off road experience. You must let race pace pass. Pulling right out in front of people. On track will lead to penalty.

Cars that severely damaged or ran out of fuel. Who I refer to you as limpers. And are slow on track must stay to the side of the track and hold you line with car are passing. If a section of track is narrow race pace cars through first. Limpers please get down and stay on the flat inside apron for SSRX and Blue Moon Oval.

The inside apron maybe used for racing but, limpers have prior below the apron as they need somewhere to go. And race pace car will be penalized making contact with them.

Driving against traffic prohibited. And will be penalized. You may only drive in reverse to clear yourself from a wall or obstacle. This goes for limpers too. I don't care if you just passed the pits and they are right there. You will still be penalized.

Dangerous reckless driving will be penalized based on severity

Pit Stop Procedures
I've decided to penalize people for something Gran Turismo should. Entering the pits at excessive speeds. Pit lane speed limits have existed for several decades racing. For safety of the pit crews and race officials.

Drivers most reduce speed to at least 100 mph (161 km/h) before the Pit AI takes over the car. Failure to do so may result in a Penalty.

Drivers are expected to enter the pits in a safe reasonable manner and mindful of those around. And stay to the pit side of the track when entering the pit. Use the track has an aprons or paved area for a safer entry. Don't enter the pits from the otherside for the track while crossing in front of other cars. Dangerous pit entries will count under reckless driving.

I am very terrible this track, but this sounds like a lot fun! I'd like to sign up with the Porsche please.
Thank You for being my first sign up. You have claimed the first Porsche contract. You have time to practice. And test your set up. I'm allowing tuning because this place is a little easier if you can show up a car your comfortable.

This sounds like a horrible idea. I'm in!

I've been running Corvettes for awhile, it's time to try something new. I'll take one of the 458's please.

Thank you. I'll send a friend request asap. Are you sure you want pick a car your not familiar with? You're more than welcome try out some cars before you pick your car.

It’s still too early for me to commit to the date although I think it will work. I also need to test some cars, but I’m very interested in this event.

I've got time to do some testing, but yeah, I'm sure I want to try something new for this race.

I did a back to back comparison between the 458 and the 'Vette last night. I'm so used to the 'Vette that it was a piece of cake to run a decent lap. In comparison, I was all over the place in the 458. I'm sure my times will improve with practice though.

The Gr.3 458 is not the most stable car. Making more challenging to drive. Just want to make sure you want to try this car at the Nurburgring 24h in the dark with damage on. It can be a long lap to limp around depending on where you take damage.

Note, I'm the host and I haven't picked my car yet. Choose wisely.

Notice: While I do very much intend to run this race as a private friend only lobby. However if don't an enough sign ups. I will have this race as an open.

If I have to run this as an open lobby. There will be a Sportsmanship Rating A. And I will no longer enforce 2 cars per manufacturer rule. Try to enforce this in an open lobby seems like a unnecessary headache to me.

@Infineon and @twiget56,

I'm currently debating about moving this race to Saturday October 26th. As there are no FIA races to compete with on the 26th. I need to know if you'll still be available on that day.

Also do to lack of interest. I am going to have to run this race as a open lobby. I will officially announce this a later date.

If I go with an open lobby there will be a minimum Sportsmanship Rating of A. Will an A rating cause any problems?

Fine with me.

I'm have officially changed our race date to Saturday October 26th. The race will now an open lobby with a minimum Sportsmanship Rating of A. There will be no minimum Driver Rating. I will no longer enforce the 2 cars per manufacturer rule.

A reminder that this Saturday the 26th race.

The room will be an open lobby with a SR minimum of A. I know this isn't fool proof. I will leave the race if I have to in order to do deal with problem people.

I will be open by 6:30pm Eastern US Daylight Savings Time. Please be ready to join in as it will difficult to save spots if swarmed. I don't expect to be for this event. And of them will probably leave when they figure out heavy damage is on.

The room Settings are ready to go. I just have to load them on Saturday. This will be the room name as is.

Night Of The Nurburgring, Gr.3, Starts 7:35pm EDT, Race Clean

Woah, what a cool race idea! Is it still open for signups? I am free tomorrow night, and Nurb 24h at night is one of my favorite tracks to drive.

My PSN is TPC_Granadier and I'd be driving the Jaguar F-Type Gr. 3

edit: looks like I won’t be able to make it after all :/

Glad I checked in. Yes there plenty of opening. A lot of people too scared. Room opens as a public lobby in 2 hours.
