Collecting all cars...UCD or premium first?

Never thought about buying the UCD first as the premium cars will always be there. I think I'll stick to buying UCD cars but upgrading mainly my premiums. I just hope the seasonal events will update soon so I can get more money :-)
 
the ucd revolves after every race and after 5 races it completly changes.
focus on buying all of these cars first and in the online ucd as the premium models never chance and will always be there!

True. Besides, more of the Standards are cooler. Used Car junkie for life.
 
I started collecting standard cars first because these take the longest. There's nothing worst than seeing that elusive car in the UCD get away because you just sponged you're credits on a premium car that is ALWAYS available, and now you don't have enough credits for that car you've been waiting to show up. You might not see that car again for a looooong time. Its tempting to go and by premium cars, but if you want to collect, you have to play the long game IMO.
 
If I had a penny for every time I read "UCD first because premiums are always available" I would be a rich man. But honestly, its no faster doing UCD first.

Say it takes you 2 months to collect the UCD and 1 month to collect the Premiums... why would that change if you did one or the other first? It takes 3 months either way.
 
I went after both at the same time.
But I concentrated on the Premiums first.
Bad decision, that forced me to UCD refresh for cars I passed up many times.

I'm concentrating my efforts on the UCD at the minute - for that obvious reason that the Premiums will always be there... and I seem to be purchasing an odd mixture of rally cars, touring cars and normal road-going European cars... hmmm :odd:

Have mostly bought premium when they have been needed for specific events. Otherwise keeping an eye on the UCD when I haven't spent most of my credits.

yeah, if youre a lazy cheater then i agree... however its not impossible to do with the current restrictions and ill prove it when i eventually get it done. it will take a while tho.
 
1) Fully automatic A-Spec grinding
2) Come home from work with 16M+ credits
3) Used car lot
4) Cycle license tests 5 times (Load one, then used "Next Test" button to pass days fastest)
5) Repeat steps 3-4 until tired/bored
6) Spend the rest on premiums
7) Repeat Steps 1-6
 
I concentrated on all prizecars first.
Then started with the used car dealer.
You'll see that there will be a point where the used car dealer will offer fewer and fewer of the cars you need.
From there start looking in the new car dealership.
 
I try to collect everything but I don't buy premium or standard cars first.
 
I'm on about 660 cars, including 200 premiums. I can see the logic of "I'll get them last, cos they'll always be there" but it turns out I only really like to drive the prems anyhow (probably cos they look better, although I drive the bumpercam. Go figure...)

I've never made any trades though and I can see how that might have to change if I'm going to make the 1k without much duplication.

BTW is it possible to grab a list of the cars you own from your saved file or am I going to have to go through one at a time and tick them off a list?

Go to mygranturismo.net and mark your owned cars there. I have a second account for grinding and use the site to check main account ownership of cars on the UCD.
Currently have over 900 cars with only about half a dozen dupes.
 
Standars doesn't exist for me. I sell them as soon as possible and never drive one of those. I haven't payed 600+ bucks for a high end console another 200 for a premium game collectors edition and another 200 for a semi professional racing wheel to drive around in third person view with PS2 qualitiy car models and textures.

Going for the Premiums all the way. Currently at 140
