I would say $75 dollars is about the bare min for a well built, study, functional stand. Pre made that is i mean like the above poster you can get some pvc and some plywood and glue/screw the stuff together pretty cheap yourself.
But you got materials, labor, shipping etc, below 75 is less than you pay for a video game these days. I mean if you can afford a 60 dollar video game and a 75 to 300 dollar wheel, going cheap on the mount well......Getting fancier the price goes up.
Be nice of the design was wholly modular, i.e. you got a standard wheel mount, can add on shifter mount, cup holder, monitor mount etc etc, as you add parts/functionality the price obviously would increase. Could use sturdy locking pins or bolts to attach the extra bits and pieces.
Height adjustability would be nice so you move the wheel closer to the floor or up depending on your prefrence and available seating arrangement.
Sturdy and storeable would be two biggies, noone like their wheel moving around on them. Ok to look at, i mean would be nice if you instantly did not have to hide the thing if you were getting company, make it cool looking as possible.
Give customer options, if they want bare bones and cheap give them bare bones and cheap, if they want fancy and expensive give them fancy and expensive. More people you can cater to with a good base design and modular construction, the wider your potential client base. So you could get those dead broke college students and get the middle class racers.
