color changes

Select the body using the Magnetic Lasso tool. Then press the ALT and key select the things that aren't supposed to be colored (i.e., headlights/tail lights/windshield/windows/grill). Then, while everything is still selected, go to Hue & Saturation under the Image drop down menu. Mess with the sliders then hit OK. Just be sure not to move the sliders all the way to 100% because it makes the colors unrealistic. If you want to, you can desaturate the selected image before messing with Hue & Saturation.

Hmm.. I've always done that (100%). but it makes sense not to do so. I'll try that the next time.. thanks!

it may be a little easier and a little less of a pain if you use the polygonal lasoo tool instead of the magnetic lasoo. not saying the magnetic lasoo isnt a good tool, its just it can be a pain if it jumps to somewhere you dont want it to go

I meant to say Polygonal Lasoo! I jsut couldn't think of the right name

I almost thought that was a real Lancer Evo(i.e. Not Photoshoped)

Your colour changes look real unlike most other chops I see, the other ones are always too bright or too dull but yours are amazing!

Thanks, i'm very proud of that. I did a few mods to it.

1.The mitsubishi symbol on the intercooler.
2.Moved the doorline back (2 door conversion), including through the window
3.Moved the seats back to compliment the conversion.
4.Changed the background
5.Changed the color
6.added a reflection of a pine tree into the passenger side window.

Hey, I'm pretty new to photoshopping, but this thread caught my eye as an easy place to start.

All I did was a color change, using the magnetic and polygon lasso tool. I tried to find a nice "seafoam green".

Can anyone recommend a nice website for chopping images such as rims, air intakes, etc.?
