Comentary on replay!?!?

If, as a previous poster says, the voiceover is simply read from the large manual, then it doesn't really matter whether the person knows what they're talking about or not does it?

Surely it will just boil down to how much you like/hate their voice.

And yes, you can toggle the commentary on/off, along with music, visual effects, hud display etc. simply using circle and square buttons.
 
I think it must just be a normal voice just for the info of the car, this way it won't get annoying cause you just won't care about the voice
 
Err, a normal voice. It still has to be someone, GT4:P had VBH doing vioce overs for the tests.

I so hope she doesn't do the voice overs again. That women knows nothing about cars. Her idea of a car review is how much smoke you can kick up when wheel spinning away from the lights :mad: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: (Not that Clarkson is much better tbh :O)

Just my opinon, doesn't mean it's right.

I'd much rather have a former Touring car/F1 driving do the commentary. At least they know what they are talking about.

Bob Villa is actually a home improvement, remodeling, and repair specialist. He just has a recognizable voice (at least for most Americans). Nothing to do with cars as far as I know.

For the US version, it would be nice to hear either Tim Allen or Jay Leno since both are heavily involved with racing and collecting cars (respectively).

Both of those would be good choices for the US version, providing Polyphony could afford their fees!

I can't think who I would want to dub the UK version, maybe Tiff, he has the right kind of voice for it I suppose. I suspect it will be VBH again though as she did the voice-overs for Prologue.

No I think Jeremy would be a good choice. Also the commentary from tiff needell in the first Le Mans 24Hours game (on PS1) was fun to hear so if he is back in GT4 that would be cool too. But I think he's accent is starting to annoy you faster then Clarkson's.

About Vicki: She probably will do GT4 aswell because a lot of voice-overs they just copy from GTP. But I hope she laughs a bit then. She has a sexy MMM 🤬 OOH laugh :O

I was definitely thinking the same thing. Plus, she's a somewhat attractive girl that likes cars. I don't see a problem here.
