Command and Conquer - Red Alert 2

Yes, I'm ressurecting this thread.

Why?

Because I'm stuck. Stuck stuck stuck. My problem is, it seems, that I probably shouldn't have done the campaign on "Brutal enemy"/"Hard". Yes, I know. In my defence, it was an accident, I was just click happy because I liked the sound of the menus changing. Anyway, on to the point: I can't beat the second last level. It's the one where you go to Moscow to destroy the Kremlin that Yuri is hiding in.

And before you say anything, YES I did look up guides, and even went for a walkthru on the westwood website. The problem is, they tell you to build a nuke. But I can't. wtf?

Is it because I have it set on hard? Is it a fault in the walkthrough? Has anyone beaten this game? Please people I need help. And just for the record, I'd rather people not recommend more walkthroughs. I need tried and true solid tactics that worked for you, and insight as to whether or not I can really build a nuke.

Build more and more tanks until you can't build any more. Prism tanks work well!

I hope someone reads this, I'm getting back into Yuri's revenge, does anyone think we should make a GTP Clan? I'll go make one if anyone want's me to. It'd be cool to play Yuri's revenge with other GTP'ers

Yuri's Revenge? Is that part of RA2 or a completley different game.

I like the sound of a GTP clan though. I'd like to join.

YR is the RA2 Expansion Pack.
 
I used to see my cousin play it. That was almost four years ago.

Now I have Generals and later on bought the C&C Collectors Edition. I couldn't go back to Red Alert 2. Generals seems to be more fluid. There's not much more balance in Red Alert 2 as in Generals.
 
I just introduced my GF to this game and now shes completely hooked. hahahah Red Alert just never seems to get old. Nothing more fun than sending your spys in to steal the enemy's goods. :)
 
We borrowed a secondary computer until my hardcore gaming computer comes in. My girlfriend and I will try to meet together in the same room tonight and go against the computer bots. I cant wait to try it out. :dopey:
The only bad thing is that these 2 computers take up a lot of room in our game room so we are putting one in the living room.
 
Everything worked!!!! My girlfriend and I played in the same room online with 2 different computers. All in the same house. That was sooo fun!!!
I couldnt get Yuris revenge to work online but Red Alert 2 worked perfect. :)
 
I was able to get Yuris revenge working last night. Good times!! We are going to try and meet up with heathers brother this weekend. 👍
 
I've been playing so terribly lately on YR.. I guess a battle fortress can kill an apocalypse in one shot now. :boggled:


Would it be a good idea to start a GTP clan on YR?
 
I had sooooo many problems getting RA2 to work in a LAN situation, but eventually found a fix to make it work. Has ended up being one of my favourite LAN games. Love sticking the snipers in those little cars :D
 
I have the whole series, and i have gotten everyon since Tiberian Sun on the day of release, but non of them work on my comp, other then generals. Mabe i'll buy the decade thingy. O yeah renegade works also.
 
I'm actually surprised no one has checked this before. I've also been addicted to RA2 and YR ever since it came out. But after a while (3 years) it got kind of old, so I browsed through the internet a bit and found this: CannisRules

It's a mod page. It has detailed information as to what every structure and character does as well. And it adds new characters/features. Such as the Chrono Ivan, M1A1 Abrams Tank, Crocodile Missile Tank, King Tiger Tank and others.

In total, it adds up about 20 different vehicles, about 10 troops and gives buildings more resistance. It could be considered cheating,e xcept that the CPU enemy is allowed to build them as well in skirmish mode.

In total, I think it adds up to better gameplay and better balance, and most importantly, the AI is less predictable. Go through the whole page as it detaisl everything that is available once you install it. I only play skirmish, so it makes sense for me. It also has separate files of additional maps for skirmish mode.

Eh so your saying it took you 3 years to mod your RA2? uh hu i find that kida funny, and i presume you havn't downloaded any for Generals/ and Generals Zero Hour.
 
I played Yuris revenge on and off all weekend long with my girlfriend and her brother. We had soo much fun. It was his first time ever playing online and we all had a blast. Played for 6 hours straight on sunday. 👍
Its sooo nice having a 2nd computer in the same house. :sly:
 
I wanted to reinstall the game over the weekend, but couldn't find the booklet with the CD Key. :grumpy:

I'll be back on soon though. :)

Meh, I played it since it came out, so at the time I wasn't as internet savvy as I am now to go and look for a mod. And no, I don't have generals or zero hour. I don't invest much on my graphics card, and when I installed Generals, it was very choppy and slow. I did play Emperor: Battle for Dune, though... choppy enough. I stick to RA2 and YR.

So we bought him the same game that we bought. $19.99 The Command & Conquer Collection and it worked right away and we were all able to meet online instantly.

Emperor: Battle for Dune is a awsome game, i used to have it broke :( when i find a copy of it i'll buy it, but i never see it.

YES IT DOES!!!! i have 2 friends with it and i used to play them all the time online, kiked there ass though :sly:
 
I will clearify. Command & Conquer: Generals does not work online with Command & Conquer collection. Even though they are the same games, they cant be played together. Well we couldnt play them together thats why we bought the Command & Conquer: Collection for her brother.
 
Wheew hew. Had some more really good times in Yuris revenge. Heathers brother in law decided to join all 3 of us online. So it was Heather, her brother, her brother in law, and myself all playing online against the PC. Good times!!!

whenever im in a game, i sometimes get a page from someone thats not in the game, how do I reply to that person when im in the game?

Not sure. I was wondering the same thing. I even tried paging my GF and she didnt get the page. ANd she is in the same house as I am.
