Anyone Else Dissappointed Not To See Or Hear About A Successor To Command And Conquer Generals? Is Anyone Aware If Ea Games/westwood Plan To Release Another Command & Conquer?

Ive Never Seen Another 3rd Person Strategy Game As Good As Generals.... Surely There'll Be The Fan Base To Make It Worth Creating A New Series.

Any Ideas/comments?

NO? No-one else? Is it just me?

I cant be the only one waiting for a sequel.... am I?

I'm sure they're working on a new one. I hope they'll get it right this time, I bought generals and it wasn't fun to me. I rather see the next C&C more focussed on building instead of rushing with everything you have from start. I really hated that people would destroy my base with a couple of riflemen because I haven't rushed an attack.

Also the singleplayer should get massively improved, playing that felt more like a chore while mr. EA programmer was holding my hand through the gameplay. "Now only build this unit", "Now do this", "Now get that".... screw that I just want to destroy the opponents. And not just in a skirmish way.

No RTS will ever come close to the greatness of the C&C:TD and C&C:RA. Those games were freaking amazing. I don't really care. EA effed up C&C. If only it were still only Westwood.... Generals was exactly like Battle for Middle Earth in the graphics/engine department. They're too cheap to make new engines...

Fair comments, however, even though the enemy attacked before you had your base sufficiently defended, the game lasted for hours. I did however get sick of the limited structures, units etc. They would need to rethink and possibly provide more upgrades, training options. I cant remember I generals had walls to barracade your base??.... I agree the previous c&c's were better but its been a few years now, and its quite a fun game when you get sick of all those racing, first person shooter type games.

Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see.......... :guilty:

Generals and Zero Hour are possibly the best games I have ever played, on pc or a console. It seems like right after I started playing Generals, Zero Hour was released, and now as I'm getting into ZH people are talking about a sequel..

Ah well.. anyone up for a 1v1 on zh? :)
