Has anyone else experienced this?
A few times in the last few days I'll go to the "Community" tab and there will be nothing there, all my friends names are gone.
Exiting GT mode and returning doesn't fix it.
But quiting the game and restarting it from scratch does bring them all back. At least for awhile, until they disappear again.
Just curious if this is my problem, or a general problem with the Sony servers.

Sometimes it takes a second for them to show up on my Community tab. Usually to fix I just sign out and back in to PSN which can be done in-game. Bring up the XMB, highlight 'Account Management' and press triangle.

I usually go back to the main menu (where you select GT Life, Arcade, Course Maker etc) then back to GT Life.

It's been on and off for me lately, I'm guessing Sony still didn't place enough servers to handle the job properly.

This.

still annoying but it works every time.

I think it happens because you load up the game before your friends list has fully loaded on the XMB. Because the game uses the XMB to list your friends and display their stats, so when the game tries to load the friends list it hasn't yet loaded, so you have to quit back to the main menu and it refreshes its connection with the server and XMB.

I had this issue a lot lately and also couldn't gift cars. What fixed it for me was going to Options > Network > Clear System Cache.

Try that and see if it helps 👍

Still happening for me since clearing the system cache. Exiting GT Life and re-entering fixes it for me. Usually happens when I'm away from the menu screen for a while. Short races are fine. But without fail after an endurance race everyone will be gone from my list and I have to exit GT Life.
