OK, so Famous Barr is using the old Mazda theme "Just one look, that's all it took"(also "The more you look, the more you like), circa 1979-1984(that was when Mazda used it). Why?

There's also a restaurant in Arkasas somewhere...on a family vacation to Texas driving through we heard the ad on the radio and thier slogan was "It Just Feels Right". When talking about food, is "feel" the most important thing? It is for cars, but not food.

Pah!

Dude! Was the resturant in Arkansas "The Purple Cow" ? I was at the original location for lunch today and read that on the wall. It was actually a quote from a Dallas magazine. Surprising they're using it in an advertising campaign - I think that's some kind of illegal.

Very well could have been, it does sound familiar. Ofcourse, I-55 goes through a small part of Arkansas.

The "It Just Feels Right"(which ran from approx 1988-1992) is a pure Mazda slogan...the other one mentioned in my first post is evidently part of a song, but still, Mazda used it first.

As an employee of an advertising firm, a rather large one, I would have to mention that they do very little research to see if it's been used before. Basically a bunch of people sitting at a table brainstorming, and if no one at that moment says "Uh, wasn't that so-n-so's ad campaign?" they don't research further.

As long as they don't claim any Kansei Engineering is involved, then I think Mazda and Ford won't be bringing out their legal army to trash the little mom-and-pop restaurant.

But if they make a 787Burger in a Familia atmosphere, all for just $3.23...The deal of the Millenia...then they should be worried.

If they mentioned Kansei Engineering, I would have pushed to eat there. :)

My brother has a Kansei Engineering informational VHS tape Mazda made in the late '80s(want to say '89), I've gotta ask him again for it, one of my friends can convert it onto CD.

The song is 'Won't Get Fooled Again' by The Who, and the scream comes at the end of the song. An outstanding song off an absolutely godlike album (Who's Next).

Well, that's just a song, not specifically created for any one company.

It's when a company takes another company's trademarked slogan and uses it.
