For all those NTSC owners who are stuck with the worst drivers on earth, (besides GTP drivers of course) have to deal with going to the forums and looking on with envy:indiff: of how PAL has sooo much more competiton and greater side by side action.


Can there be a competition for us NTSC guys for a chance to win a copy of a PAL GT5:P?

That's kind of a broad assumption, don't you think?
 
I have said before in another thread. I am willing to send GT5P from Denmark to whereever in the world. Just pay in advance to my paypal.
 
Can someone please explain to me what is the difference between PAL and NTSC that applies to GTP5? I tried searching but cannot get a straight answer.

If I have NTSC then can I play against someone that uses PAL? Do I need to purchase a PAL version and will it even work properly? Will this even change anything?

PAL can only play against people in Europe/Australia.

NTSC is only for people in the Americas.U.S.,Canada, etc.

Unless there's a International event where PD unlocks notional boundaries.
 
I don't think it would be any better as then we would have all the lag from the long distances. Now if you want real fast guys get the NTScJ version.

Well, I agree about the j guys being really fast, completely disagree with your lag theory. How come I can have a 99% lagfree race with people over the atlantic (few 1000s km) ... while other countries I get at least 60-80% horrible lag which are about only a few 100s km away ?
I mean I know why ;) ...but your assumption that you only get laggy games because of a certain distance is as wrong as it's outdated!
But ok, even PD seems not to get it or care about.:dunce:

PS: I know a guy from Japan and if hes host I get zero point zero lag issues, that's Japan - Germany ... :)

Well I hate to break it to you NTSC guys, but PAL racer's are not perfect, I have been punted by people from all over Europe. However lately the online has the best I have ever experienced, less punting and more clean driving!:D

Exactly. At least you have people to race against. We don't. We have prob max is about 2-5 people on a good day!

Which is why I can see PD holding back on private rooms untill full GT5.

Not sure what the complaint s exactly, but I own the "Japan Only" version & I've raced against NTSC & PAL owners...
To clarify NTSC CAN RACE AGAINST PAL, and vice versa... don't know if it has just been implemented with spec III or always like this.
My friend (jTAG7r) has NTSC and I have PAL, recently we've been racing together a lot!! (timed planning).

This is in world event only though. And sometimes the best event isnt world event.

Yeah, as far as I know that race is a World Event. PD unlocks these so everyone can race it. All the rest are locked. 👍
