am i the only one sick of complaints about what's going to be in the game. such as the recent concepts thread, or minivans, or F1 cars, or whatever. if u dont want the car, dont buy it. most people want as much variety as possible in this game since it'll be another 4 or 5 years till a comparable video game comes out. and, PD can put whatever they want on the game as long as it fits on the dvd so shut it up. who knows, they may use an install disk along with a playable disk at the same time which would make the amount of stuff in the game almost limitless so quit complaining. people also complain about how u could "punch it" in gt3 and not spin out and just launch almost perfectly. well, that's how traction control works people. go turn it off if u want to spin ur tires out of control. borrow someones benz and take it to a snowy parking lot and turn the wheels and floor it with ESP on. what do u think will happen? you'll drive in little perfect circles going about 5 mph. traction control works nowadays so quit the complaining. but, on the other hand, if it really worries people that much it shouldnt...the video of the M5 concept had it barking the tires after shifting so chill out. ok, im done.

I think there are somethings that we could complain aobut like if motorbikes appeared in GT4, in GT3 you still got tonnes of grip with the traction control swithed off, so thats why people complained, I would prefer it to be more real in that way. But as for people complaining about a certain car or type of car being in GT4, they need to realise they're just being stupid, adding more cars is never bad even if the car they add is you rleast faveroute car ever, it's an addition to the game and they don't need to buy it.

Sure a MOTO sim would be cool. But not hosted inside of my Gran Turismo game. Put as much cars in as you like PD, I have absolutely no complaints. The more variaty the better, amen jr93alty.

I think its funny to judge the game or complain before anyone has even played completed code. There should be enough good for a person to over look/not care about what they dont like.

live4speed...the reason u got so much traction is because they were driving on racing slicks. put street tires on, turn the traction control off and see what happens. people tend to forget the amount of money that is spent modding a car just like in the discussion about engines and drivetrains blowing apart. ever driven a car with drag radials (not even racing slicks)? ive been in a ss camaro with 400+ hp with drag radials on and it took off like a bat out of hell and couldnt even chirp third like it easily can on street tires. but anyway, like i said, traction control works...anyone thats driven a car with a tcs that was made in the last 3 or 4 years knows this. turn it off if u for some odd reason want tire spin.

No, I'm not talking about the creator of this thread. I don't hate anyone. You have to realize that when it comes to a game, people will have their complaints. The most common ones are on having no car damage, the car rims, same old tracks... that sort of thing. Personally, I don't give a damn what GT4 has, I just want to play it. But there's a problem. It's July now, the game ships in November. So what's the point of talking about a game that hasn't been released? Are you trying to come up with a stickied thread so that Der Alta or somebody can post this for the world to see? Well sometimes, it doesn't work that way. Remember my thread called "My Message to New Members?" Look what happened to it. It's not there anymore. And the chances of this being stickied is about the chances of the expansion Charlotte Bobcats making it to the NBA Playoffs next season.

So what am I sick of? I'm sick of most all of the stuff I mentioned earlier. I mean, when someone says that PGR2 or Rallysport Challenge 2 far exceed what GT4 will probably be capable of, that ticks me off as a GT fan. I mean, if you want multiplayer mayhem, get an XBOX, some diapers, your "Tickle Me Elmo" toy, and grow up. I'm proud of what PD that the only complaint I have is that the game isn't out yet. Remember, all questions about GT4 will be answered upon release of the game.

But for now, there is almost no excuse to come up with something like this. So you can do the math as to why this thread is going down. If the Mods lock this one, it will be a unanimous vote.

What sets these threads apart? They generally deal with a unique concept, feature original thoughts and opinions, and don't simply consist of people posting bull**** because they think they know an answer. If you read them, you feel like you've come away with a deeper understanding of what GT4 will hold.

A lot can be determined before the game arrives based on our knowledge of PD, their licensing situation, the techniques they employ, things they've said, our understanding of the PS2 hardware and the physical limitations thereof, etc.

till then, i'll say whatever the hell i want unless a mod or something choses to ban me.

Leaving you no better than the people *****ing about Formula 1 cars and other things. Congratulations.

Eagle...guess what? to me, those threads are no more important because its just some people talking about a feature i already knew about. also, some people mustve liked the backfire thread because they said so. i also, however, thought it was kinda dumb. also, u never say anything valid and just tell people to search or whatever or talk about wasting server space when thats all u and every one else is doing with stupid replies about how dumb a thread is. i hope u get kicks out of being a tough guy on the internet cuz really, its quite stupid. internet forum "bullies" or whatever u guys are trying to be are quite comical. this isnt high school. go write some code or something computer freak. in the next few years, i think there is gonna be an official physicians diagnosis for people that have a complex where they act tough on the internet. grow the hell up.

Honestly, if things bother you so much, why come to the site???? No one is making you come here and read things. I also think there are a lot of dumb threads on here. But you know what, there are dumb threads EVERYWHERE on the internet. You just have to deal with it and move on. So, chill out a bit. Unless of course, some one actually has tied you up and is forcing you to view every thread on here. If thats the case, you have bigger, more important issues to deal with. Either way, just lay off the GTP for a while. We'll all feel better.

Well, no we don't expect that. But, for someone so interested in seeing other people 'grow up', I would want the same from you. We all like discussion, but like I was saying, there are always going to be crap threads. You just have to NOT post in them and let them run their course. Talking crap in a thread just puts fuel to the fire.

But, I read the thread again, and no one ever called you names or talked **** about YOU. They were just blabbing about it being a crap thread. Its just talk. You have to just deal with it. Like you said, people don't know you. So what if someone talks $hit about you on here??? Just, as you say, 'Grow up' and forget about it. Not to be mean, but first off... apply the rules of grammar and spelling. This is not AOL, or a NASCAR driver talking to reporters after he wrecks. Second off, you have to realize is that it is not easy being a GTPlanet member. I been on two different forums. On one of them, I was being pushed around like I was a Vanilla Ice fan in a Cash Money rap concert. On another site, I was so pushed around that I was OWNED on that site (I may talk more about it in the future). You're a new member, jr93. No offense, but you haven't shown anything special to any of us, nor gained the respect of people around the world. And keep in mind, this is a worldwide site with people of many races and nationalities participating in topics like this one. And of those sites Eagle mentioned, two of those are my threads ("My Message to New Members" and "More Opponents in GT4: Posible?"). What depresses me is that as much feedback as I had received from my two topics, you said to Eagle "...those threads are no more important because its just some people talking about a feature I already knew about." What kinds of drugs are you doing? How much alcohol do you drink? Do you have any rare illnesses we aren't aware of? Sure, we all know about such things, we are GT FANS, so when we see something cool, we report it and comment. It's human nature to love something like what you see on this website. But when you go attacking on other threads (including some of mine), that hurts the 27,000+ people who come on here. And your... no wait, your style of spelling... and youre actions are truly deplarable to GTP (translated: and your actions are truly deplorable to GTP).

So I have no choice...

Back to jr. What I was saying is that it's easy to be a member of this site, but lasting is the challenge. If you're going to be here doing topics all the time (like I am), you have to have a sense of respect towards others. Others have been saying that this is a crap topic and no matter what you do, you always have to be careful. I can understand what you are talking about. But there are two sides to every story, and surely you're testifying right now. Now tell me what "complaining is going on? People here are talking about what COULD happen in a game. So when a game is coming out, there will be talk about it. Look at Halo and Project Gotham (soon to get owned... no wait... RULED by GT4). When these respective games were coming out, there were devoted fans of these games. I don't give a damn about either game. Both of which had fan as does this site. Educate me on "complaining about stuff on GT4." Make me your idiot. Teach me right from wrong, please.

Even I'm coming up with topics on GT4 because no one knows what the hell to expect from GT4. We don't know what's going to be in GT4, so what you call "complaining" is what we call "speculating." It's almost the halfway point between E3 and when GT4 is set to release. Just remember, we don't know what to expect. So how can we be complaining if even we aren't sure about what's going to be in GT4? It isn't cool to be so disrespectful towards others saying that we are complaining. Complaining is when you want things to be in GT4 because you say so. Complaining is when you wimp out of certain topics and start your own. Or maybe I'm complaining about this thread. Still OWNED, or as many of you would type: "OWN3D." And that's for my boy Eagle and my girl McLaren'sAngel, and to all of GTPlanet who think this thread (and maybe its creator, that is, if you truty dislike him for something like this) is a joke. well, there is a thread titled ban concepts. thats why i started this thread. and the discussion of not having f1 cars is constantly brought up. and the complaining that a honda odyssey is in the game has been brought up and that there may be suv's has been complained about. i was just saying, put everything they want in the game and buy what u want. i understand that some people will only drive maybe 100 of the cars on GT unless the races are setup so that u must own hundreds of cars. but i will be one of the people that tries to drive everything the game has to offer. so i decided to make this "crap thread". but maybe i shouldnt have because im so scared of getting made fun of by some people on the internet and they make me have nightmares and i'm gonna be scared to visit this site after a while they ruined my life. haha, keep the insults coming. like i said, im buying the same game u are.

You know what jr93alty you make a thread to stop people complaining and in here youve done the most of it, I find that in itself rather amusing. You need to calm down and just let this thread die rather than replying to each post with a complaint or an insult. Take this advice and stop insulting people because you can have a good time here and find out a lot about GT and other things. Right now no-one here can give a crap about what you can offer this site but if you listen you might be able to contribute in the future, and I love how you missed the point of my post, but even race cars on racing soft slicks should have loads of wheelspin and traction loss if you floor it.

ok, we can let this thread die...but i'll just say this. my comments have to do with people complaining about gt4. if u call what im doing complaining, then im "complaining" about people, not gt4. also, like i said, turn traction control off if u want ridiculous wheel spin. u can go drive a E class benz with 1000hp (if one exists) and floor it and i guarantee u that u will NOT roast the tires. u can even do this on street tires. tcs has nothing to do with power or the weight of ur car, its controlled by accelerometers in the wheel hub and compared to other wheels and the speedometer reading of the car (this is a VERY simple explanation to how it works) and then adjusts the throttle, timing, and possibly ur TC to maintain no slippage. therefore, u can have a 10 lb car with 20000hp...if it has a good tcs, the tires will not spin for more than a split second. oddly enough, thats why its called TRACTION CONTROL. the reason race cars spin out is because they do not have traction control. most everything is mechanical because of the weight of electronics. traction control also tends to make cars slower. most of u that tried to run quick 400m times on gt3 know this because lowering the tcs can lead to faster times by raising the amount of power the drive wheels can see even if the wheels do slip a little.
