At least the car wash whizzed the car round really fast which was potentially fun (depending on which concoction of chemicals had invaded my bloodstream that day) but the Oil change just had a little glug glug meter which went from red to green IIRC.

BORING!

At least they had the guys that got under the car to change the oil. And the freakish thing where he would disappear when he change an AWD car's oil.

I'd forgotten about that. Maybe this time KY will have been taking tips from Hideo Kojima and we'll have to sit through a 2 hour cut scene watching a bunch of incompetent kwik-fit mechanics bodge an oil and filter change and then tell me I need a new clutch

I'm already looking forward to taking the Ferrari F2009 out the pits with the fuel hose still hanging out the hole and spewing napalm all over the track!

I like the idea, but I think it would suck if something went wrong during a race and you either had to restart or crawl back to the pits.

I loved that aspect in Grand Prix 3,I'll always remember this one race weekend.

The opening weekend of full length season (melbourne),it was difficult getting any meaningful dry testing, and the race forcast was wet start (no rain) and it would remain sunny.
After a really tough race I was 12 or so seconds up,about 14 laps left,I was pushing to keep a 12 second lead until I had 10 laps left before I would ease back a bit.
All of sudden engine cut out :( bloody electrics had gone.I was gutted, but it's probably the best race i've ever had because of it :)

It's something that wouldn't work on a console, but I would like it if they had some kind of running costs, were you needed to replacement parts otherwise you get performance issues. Not saying OMG it will suck if it doesn't,but it would be a nice feature.

I kinda like the fact that the cars are perfect every lap. When I'm hotlapping round Laguna Seca trying to beat my PB with the GT40 Performace issues would totally mess the whole thing up and add an almost random factor that would make the whole excercise a complete waste of time.

Different for online I suppose. Could be interesting in a 6 race tourney, carrying repairs and engine swaps on a set budget from race to race would add a whole new dimension.

I would rather see realistic flaws.. Such as in early 90's Primeras with SR20.. driveshafts snapping. Corroded brake/fuel lines. Knackered ball joints in Passats.

Engine failure, something like this?!?

When I saw this picture I start to cry:scared:

Who's ever lost a clan match in COD because their soldier had a non-bullet induced brain embolism?

In COD you play as the soldier, so you'd have to have the Brain Embolism.

However in Granturismo, you play as the Driver. Not the car.

Then you probably shouldn't visit a site named Wrecked Exotics:boggled:.

I share the same emotion as you towards that picture!-If it were a 'common ferrari, lambo or porsche it would be find(btw I do like them as well!).

If it were to be a "common" Ferrari, Lambo or Porsche it would be written off, the McLaren F1 in general is now even more valuable than new.
The car in the picture is most likely in perfect state as we speak, i would only get emotional if i were to be the owner ( out of pure joy ;)).

I went to the site. I couldn't stop myself. Then I clicked "Ford". Then I wept like a little bitch with a skinned knee. Now I hate this forum

I hated the oil change thing. All you did was navigated 500-odd screens worth of PD signature dumb menu structure at 30 secs a pop and then clicked "change oil"

Whoopie do! :dunce:

You forgot to mention the uber cheesy little tune that plays in GT4s GT Auto. It cracks me up every time.

If we had component failure in GT5, we wouldn't last a lap round the Nurburgring in a Toyota without something going wrong.
