Hi, How can I get a better lap time In the new Skyline Time trial?. At the moment I've only got bronze please help me out, cheers

What exactly are you struggling with? I really don't want to say, drive faster.
I did gold with the stock R34 from the new car dealer.
Do you use a wheel, driving aids?

Try tuning the car. Other than that, practice. Also, you can check the thread for this event for tunes and helpful advice.

I want to be 1st place every time to Gain coinage.

Are you talking about the time trials (TT), or the regular seasonal events? A bit confused. For first place in the TT's you're just going to have to practice. Getting 1st is no easy task as there are alot of good racers that take part in these.

The new Skyline TT as stated in my first post.

Well, you don't get money (coinage) for finishing 1st. And, like I said, finishing first is no easy task.

But you do get coinage for 1st place. I did for 3rd place.

If you are asking for advice on getting gold. You will not get 1st, we have some very fast members on here.
:)

Edit: You didn't get money for finsihing 3rd, you got money for getting a bronze standard time. When you set that, you would have been give a position. I think I am in the top 1500 ish for instance.

I am asking how to get gold and win Lots of nice Coinage.

Download the top times ghost and replay from the leaderboard and see where you are going wrong.

I just wanted some advice about how to get gold.

We have given you some valuable information. You seem to be looking for a magical answer. The magical answer is get faster.

You do this by practice. Using the ghost and the replay and the tuning thread would help you greatly. Not sure what else you expect?

You haven't told us what you are struggling with. If it is just general slowness. See above otherwise, we need more info.

You can only get gold and the winnings that go with it once. Its not like the regular seasonals that you can keep repeating and keep on recieving the money.

I'm struggling to get better than a bronze trophy.

Read through this thread for tunes and other helpful advice.

Other than that, just keep on practicing.

There is no magical answer here. It took me months to get to the point where I'm at now. (Top 150-200 average) You just gotta keep at it.

I read through this and it made me chuckle

I'm not TT guy at all but all I can say just practise, there isn't setup with automatic steering or braking.
You don't need any special setup to gold those seasonals..

What is your psn?

funny thing is that u need to focus on DRIVING faster... as u can see above, other players did it in stock cars, with no modifications whatsoever, so it can be done... every single person that posted a comment here wants to help u, trust me, but u have to start focusing more on learning the tracks, cars behaviors, settings and so on... what do u expect actually from this thread? to find out a glitch to get a shortcut through the track to get to the finish line in 2 seconds? ....

What I expected from this thread was for someone to help me get gold and be 1st.

That is exactly what you got.

Glad we helped. :)

We have helped you as much as we can. Its up to you to do the rest. And as far as being 1st, good luck with that, it doesn't happen over night.

I'm struggling to get better than a bronze trophy.

Hi, I try to get through this step by step.
1) First get a Skyline M Spec Nur like what the TT leaderboard is using. It is available from Used Car Dealer at times. It is worth about 0.5-1sec faster than when I was using Skyline V spec Nur from Premium Car dealer without major tuning. If not, just buy the Skyline V Spec from Nissan Car dealer.
2) Buy everything that does not increase PP like flywheel, customisable transmission, customisable suspension..
3) Buy parts that increase PP and Horsepower. Buy cheaper parts like racing filter, cat converter, ECU tuning if you tight on credits. Get it to close to 480pp but much more. If it exceed a little, use engine limiter to lower the PP to 480.
3) Change transmission to lower top speed to 230kph. You are unlikely to exceed that.
4) Change brake balance to 5:4 to reduce chance of back sliding. If its still too difficult to handle change Traction Control to 1 otherwise 0 is better. Make sure ASM is off. You can turn Assisted steering to strong to help control oversteer as well.
5) Use a driving line as a guide. Downloading top ghost is unhelpful for you because you'll not see it by first 2-3 corners if I gauge your current level correctly. You can watch their replay if it helps to see where they deviate from driving line. Try not to brake at every red line... just lower the gear and test if you can get trhough with either light brake or engine braking.
6) Keep trying. Gold time is not difficult for this TT. Getting 1st in TT? Not for me in this lifetime unless no one else plays GT5 anymore.

With this setup minus the TC, Assisted steering, I am currently at 1:29.xxx. No complicated tuning as yet.

I read through this and it made me chuckle

So true  Methinks our OP is taking the piss and has been in the boards before.

No I was actually asking a serious question and no I haven't been here before.

gtnoobie couldn't said it any better, now it's up to you to go get the gold and the coinages.

Funny I thought only in the Drag racing sub forum we get people like that, that needs to be hand held, but now I see it's not just us.
