I was thinking of these 4 extra long races:
Autumn ring mini between 150-200 laps
Tsukuba circuit 75 laps
Nurburgring 24h 10 laps
and someting else that that will be over 150 km

the shorter races will be:
London
Top gear (that might be a pre season warm up race)
Course maker circuits (normal points but perhaps 3 of these on 1 weekend?)

These are just ideas so if anyone has any thoughts on this please give your view and share your own ideas too please

, as some of us like to go out on a Saturday nite , and not many choose to go out on a Sunday, as they obviously have work next day , i also think most people would sooner this, as Sundays are also a boring day / nite , can we look in to this ???

As for the other points about more tracks and longer races , im all for this except on Autumn ring mini which i think is a crap track , but if its there i will race it no problem, again with more races it hinders my chances of racing them if there on a Sat evening , this needs to be looked at

What do all think about this ??????

Am wit pete on this one, saturdays are nights when ppl like to relax and all that, while sundays like pete said above are boring days so could we think about race on sunday's?

plus here's an idea.. does this once a week sound too long for yu? well it does for me.. why dont we have 2race's per week? sunday+thursday's? sundays would be longer race's while on thursday we would race 30%shorter race?

What do yu think?

And for tha next season i guess there will be over 16 serious racer's who wants to come to tha league so week before tha first race could we have time trial? on saturdays 15 invited race's join lobby where they have 30min to make time and sunday rest of tha racers come to do tha time's 16fastes't will be joined to tha league and no more will be invited unless someone backs off from tha whole league.
 
Im backing what Zaviour says except i carnt race on Thursday as i have football , so another day during the week would suit me just fine , but yes im for 2 races a week , that way we could do every track aswell
 
I also think that people who just join in occassionaly and are not regulars should be removed for the race , if there not serious about it , sack them off !!

We could make vote for day tha is okeyh for everyone, let me start sayin tha on monday's i got ice hockey trainings so tha aint not alrite for me rest for tha days are ok.. but please not friday i like to enjoy fridays =D
 
I like the idea of sunday nights and perhaps midweek races too. Perhaps the midweek race could be on a tuesday or a wednesday? I'm going to set up a social group for the league so please join that to discuss idea for season 2.
Also if we could start races at 8 rather than 9 I'd be up for that.
I don't think we should kick the non-regulars this season as we need some more numbers on occasions but next year we it would be better.
Also, we might change the points to the top 8 finishers but it will be the same as the BTCC system so the winner still gains a lot.
 
I like the idea of 2 races a week but perhaps have a midweek race every other week if people are up for that? If not then no big deal, I don't mind extra karting :). I like the idea of longer races on sundays so perhaps approx 150km races then and 100km to 80 km midweek.
 
Is there any way we could incorporate team racing?
Not neccasarilly to bump draft, but having someone that you can team up with an draft back and forth with is always helpful, as is being able to share tuning set ups.
If we were to do this on the weekdays, for me, it would have to be a lot later as I'm in the US.
I don't want to be a fifth wheel or whatever the expression is, so I can just sit it out and stop in every now and then for the weekend races.

However, a way we could work around that is maybe you can drop half of your races, so if we have a four race season, and Joe Schmo finishes 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 2nd, then he only keeps the points for his 2nd and 1st place finish.
This way, people can miss a couple races and not he too badly hurt in the points standings.

Then again, I'm a newbie with you guys, I don't want to jump in and completely change your championship to my liking.

P.S. Once you've created a group does it always take a while to appear on your page? Because I made one yesterday and it is still not there. :(

For example Sunday night racing doesnt suit me as Im a tournament director for another game I play and usually have a tournament on a sunday night.

I mentioned already to Dan that there needs to be a wider points distribution in order to keep peoples interest as the season goes on.

I got league on sundays aswell ba it base on US and it starts 7pm on uk time race is usually 30min so 8pm race on sunday is alrite.. and like wan said we will never get a day tha would suit everyone, sundays yes its boring day and if this was Europe based league 5pm race would be ok to everyone.. ba since we might have ppl racing from US, Canada and so on it has to be late night race for us and sayin late night i mean 8pm, 9pm somewhere around there..

point system could be like this:

1st 25 points
2nd 18 points
3rd 15 points
4th 12 points
5th 10 points
6th 8 points
7th 6 points
8th 4 points
9th 2 points
10th 1 points
PS: Wan's idea =)

if dan could send email to everyone thru PSN to ask which days YOU CANT race and look for tha open days and try to make race days from them if there is 1person tha it dont suit and 20 it will we just have to go wit tha rite? plus rememba tha this new league is still far away and lots can happen... if dan knws since i aint no bill gates any chance we could get Official EnduKart League page?

You need to make sure it has a photo, like an avatar.

I don't know then.
You can add the photo while creating the group, but it can also be done afterwards.
I can access the ones I made without a photo.
 
Just to throw in my bit, I'm good with whenever we decide to do the races, although Thursdays may be difficult.

As a nice lobby for doing night racing next season by the way...

like the idea of a night race but only at le mans as nordschleife is undriveable like that. For that race we should have drive line off though.

I'm trying to set up a group for discussions etc.
 
The 24 hour layout's just about driveable at night in a kart. There's bits of Le Mans that have no light at night. I would test it for you now my I'm in the middle of a HDD format that'll take an estimated 28 hours and 46 minutes... started over 4 hours ago and the progress bar's at 0%. Lovely.

Anyway, it's up to you Dan, you can give it a try yourself at least.
 
If nurburgring could be rain and sun which is tricky enough and le mans was made more difficult by being at night with possible rain?

stpatty-I've driven the nurburgring at night and it's fun but it was the most frustrating hour trying to find out where I was. I think that le mans at night would spice up a possibly boring race. Also, does anyone think that all courses that can have a weather change should have a weather change?

Well, I could, but I just sold my DFGT on eBay (still haven't received payment, WTF??) in hopes of upgrading to a G27.
So I could make it, but it wouldn't do me, or the rest of you guys any good to see me driving with a DS3.
Most likely wouldnt be very good for my self esteem either. :)

I think everyone else is using DS3 or at least most of us are but if you don't want to use DS3 then thats fine, no problem.
