has anyone else have their controller shut off on them while racing? mine has been doing it alot lately and its really annoying, and yes it has a full charge so i know that isnt the problem.

Do you keep it plugged in?

I haven't had it shut off but if I have it plugged in and charging and then unplug it, it won't sync to my PS3. I have to either plug it back in or completely reboot my PS3.

Yes! Idk what it is. Just recently my controller doesn't stay on wireless and I plug it in and still have to turn on the ps3 manually. It stays on after that but only plugged in.

Exactly. Never happens with any other game though. It will just sit there and keep flashing. It's not even a year old yet.

Mine has done that before. I was trying to play CoD zombies and it wouldnt let my mic work, I ended up fully resetting my ps3.

its weird cuz it only does it wth gt5 no other game.

There is an extreamly small reset button on the back according to sony you need a pin or something. Sony says im you press it it completly resets the controler and should work fine.
Location of reset button is on the back just to the right of the middle top screw, left of r2.

I shall try this

I honestly never saw that before.

this happens while it dies and you change it via the cable once you unplug it from the cable the controller wont re sync with the ps3 due to a rough disconnection * the ps3 will reserve that controller as #1* unless you reboot the ps3 ,
get a second control and connect it and it will be #2 even tho you don't have a #1 control lol

not the problem at all, the controller will have a full charge and just cut off leaving me to plow into a wall at full speed.

faulty controller , get it changed if its under a year old

Sounds like a serious problem. Mine always works great, whether I charge it frequently or hardly at all.

My HKS controller does that all the time, I figured it was a defect with the design as I never had that problem with the Dual Shock or with other games. Maybe it's something wrong with the GT5 game code? I have no idea.

Bought a new PS3 on august 20, the controller worked for about ten minutes, then died, the underside felt hot:ouch:

My controller has shut off, but that is due to my PS3/controller setting (it is in the XMB) for my controller to shut off after 10 minutes of no usage.

I have a somewhat different controller problem, sometimes when I'm in the menu or text chat i press certain buttons, and they don't work for some reason (this includes all the buttons except the analog sticks) Has anyone ever had this problem, and is there any way to fix this?
