controller reasignment

having trouble reassigning a controller can someone explain how to do it. I know where to go but cant figure out how to make changes to button assignment.

I don't think you can reassign DS3s.

What kind of reassingnment are you looking for? Change from player one to player two? Or is it the button layout for gt5 itself. Both of these are easily done, the former with a long press of PS, the latter with a trawl through the sideways XMB-esque settings menu of GT5.

Go into controller settings in the options menu... you can reassign any button to anything.

I map L2 to Brake
R2 to accelerate
Right analog stick does gear shifts for up and down
