I know I'm kinda drifting off topic here but I've been wondering...is the "new" Ford 500 the European Ford Mondeo?
No. It is based on the Volvo P2 platform under the S80.

The european Ford Modeno is smaller, and comes to the U.S. as the Jaguar X-type.

Oh, thanks for the info. I could've sworn they were the same, but I'll trust you. Now that I think about it, the Mondeo does seem smaller.

I seriously find this funny.

And still no NSX? YES!

However, there are pic of a RX-7 Type-S Japanese Police Car.

Not exactly a real NSX police car but...

Here's a press release about it from Honda: http://tinyurl.com/4afo5

The event drew amazed responses from onlookers viewing an NSX in police livery. "If that was behind me I wouldn't bother but just pull over," said one person. "That's just not fair," commented another.

I would stop and just stare at the NSX, maybe even get arrested so I can ride in it! :dopey:

umm...not exactly a real nsx police car?

it says NSX police car...and theres a pic of a NSX with police all over it.

looks real enough to me.

Did you even read the link? It's not a real police car used by the authorities. "The car was being exhibited by Avon and Somerset Police at Weston Wheels – organised by modified car enthusiasts and uniquely supported by both the police and local authority."
and...
Superintendent Lawrie Lewis commented: "Many thanks to Honda for the loan of the NSX. It was a real showstopper and a great asset to us in delivering our casualty and crime reduction messages. I don't think we could afford one on our regular fleet but if Honda could see their way to lending us one then I'm confident we would give it a loving home."

Quite awhile ago I saw a Z28 Camaro as a cop car. I also saw in Hawaii a Cobra as a cop. Not a Cobra R.

Hahaha! That is really funny! Why would you bother runing away from it. You'd feel pretty funny running from a beetle.

I wish people wouldn't use "cop" and "cool" in the same sentance. I'd much rather see "homosexual", "dumb", "mentally handicapped", and others of the like paired with such a word as "cop".

... and yet if you get stuck in a bind and a policeman helps you they're no longer "homosexual", "dumb", "mentally handicapped" ?

Um.... I've NEVER had a cop go out of his/her way to help me when in trouble. In fact, I blew out a tire in my lifted Landcruiser, and I had to wait 3 hours for a tow truck to show up. As I was waiting, I watched 5 cop cars stroll right on by, not even slowing down. Well, one cop stopped, but that was at the crossover lane about 100 yards ahead. He was stopping to catch some speeders that never came. Yeah, some help they are .

You forgot to mention "donuts". :sly:

Seriously, though, I've seen cops stop to help people on more than one occasion. Remember, part of their job is putting their lives on the line to save yours. Show some respect.

I hate to bring it to you, but considering my uncle is a cop, I will definitely disagree with your statement. Sure there might be a roque hero cop in every other state, but the majority (almost 100% of them) almost always will choose getting off of work then to helping someone for 5 minutes. They are the lowest form of life to yet be seen. Plankton is one up on them, bud. I have the least amount of respect for someone, who although denies it, tries at the end of every month to piss off the most people that he/she can, in order to maybe make an extra buck a year. That's pathetic.

Thank you! Anyone that doesn't show an ounce of respect towards law-enforcement officers, especially after September 11, 2001, doesn't deserve to be helped. They do deserve to be left on the side of the road, dirtbag.
Isn't it a shame that you're related to a dumb, homosexual, mentally retarded cop known as your uncle?

Dallas Tx is really bad. Alot of cops are crooked, and will go and get high with kids, and then bust them. Many outside Dallas are ok. And even some in Dallas are good, but there's alot of crooked ones. Plus, most of the Dallas Sport Type Cop Cars are usually taken from a drug bust.

In fact, alot of Corvette Police cars are seized from drug busts. DARE cars (usually Camaros and Vettes) Are all seized vehicles.

I remember, where I used to live, the police had a 1968 Camaro Z28......it was awesome! I don't know if it's still around though, I moved 9 years ago...although it doesn't seem that long ago...oh well. It was still a pretty sweet car!

Saw one of those pull someone over last week. Not bad looking, but the paint doesn't really look CHP-ish.
