Ouch. Molar mass of 2,990,047 grams per mole... :scared:

That's 2990 kg per (1) mole!

Ham is a cool word. Dunno why, just is.

My favourites are non-expletive insults or criticisms. For example:
  • cretin
  • ineptitude
  • vacuous
  • low-rent
  • "Johnny NoStars"

Can anyone tell I watched another James Allen commentary today?

Cantankerous
Zealot
Bandstand
Impecunious
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia
Appendectomy
Swank

Squeamish just popped in my head. Actually, it popped in an advert, but still.

Plethora

(I guess my English teacher is good at something)

It contains 26,926 amino acids and has a formula of C132983H211861N36149O40883S693.

And at that size, it's probably visible to the naked eye with good lighting.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis - long version of Pneumoconiosis (black lung/miner's lung). 45 letters.

One of my favorite words is gesticulate (to make habd gestures wile speaking).

I enjoy gesticulating, especially around others, but that can make some people uncomfortable.

Man, that sounds dirty.

Yeah, masturcation and gesticulating is fine...

If you've never had a cron job.

I enjoy defenestrating people.

edit:

chthonic- Dwelling in or under the earth; also, pertaining to the underworld.
contradistinction- Distinction by contrast. Sounds cool.
epigone- An inferior imitator. Sounds like a medication an epileptic would take.
eleemosynary- A charitable deed.
iatraliptic: A medical term referring to a doctor who cures ailments using lotions or creams.

Slightly-but-not-really related:

Avoidable: A bullfighter's general objective.

Defenestration...

I imagine that has links to the word "Fenster", German for window.

Nein?

Non?

Fenstre?

venstre is left in Norwegian and venster is window in Dutch :D

Window in French is "Fenêtre"

I was thinking German, not French. Whoops. Thanks for picking that up, it's edit time!

Ultrabeat, the definition above shows you the Latin origins of the word. I imagine most European languages' words for "window" have close ties to the Latin "fenestra". Notiec the French word also begins with an "f" sound. Window in Italian is Finestra.

Thought so, I just wanted confirmation.

On the subject of more cool words:

Herpaghonasyphilitis, Kumquat and Spool.

Frugal! I loved that word when I first heard it (early Top Gear I think) I kept calling everyone frugal at every oppertunity.

Someone made me shut up in the end, because it had got really annoying.

Dude, stop being frugal.

(yeah, I know, it was completely inappropriate, but I had to..)

i know it's a city, but i like the name, alburquerque......sounds so funny!

viper

Yeah, Weird Al thought it was pretty funny too.

On topic, dingleberry is a funny word to say. It's also a little weird that there's a music store nearby called Dingleberry's.

Ew.

Ewe.

Sound like someone didn't think something through there. That just can't be good for business.
