Welcome to the CORE Maserati Super Trofeo.

After bringing you endurance challenges such as the CORE Nürburgring 24 Hours and World Endurance Championship, as well as being a driving force behind events such as the Australian GT3 Championship and Global Rallycross, CORE now make their first foray into the world of One-Make GT racing, with the CORE Maserati Super Trofeo.

The CORE Maserati Super Trofeo will serve as a taste of Endurance GT Racing in a condensed, even and unique format, visiting tracks from all over the world, from street circuits to classic purpose-built courses.

EVENT FORMAT

· Room opens at 19:00 (GMT) on Mondays.

· All drivers are required to be present by 19:30 so your cars can be spec checked.

· Qualifying sessions will last 12 Minutes, commencing at 19:40.

· Following the qualification session, the race timer will be set for Race One, which will start at 20:00.

· Race One will be a 40 minute race with a mandatory pit stop and a rolling start. *NOTE*: The timer will be set to 43 minutes to allow for a pace lap without taking away from the race length at most circuits.

· The results from Race One will be reversed to form the grid for Race Two.

· Race Two will be a 20 minute sprint race with a standing start.

· Following both races, the post-race timer will be set to three minutes.

Just for kicks I went ahead and invested in one of these cars. I must say, even lightly tuned it is really fun to drive.

Unfortunately due to my school schedule I won't be able to compete in this championship but if I ever find a Monday off with a race taking place I'd love to join as a guest if that's possible.

#20 - Bright Red (Rosso Scuderia) - Black Wheels

Sure thing, I'll put you down as part time.

do we get to pick a team name?

I'm not going to stop you, but since there are no teams it wouldn't be used for anything anyway.

Thanks to all the sign-ups so far, don't forget to invite some of your fellow racers to create the best series possible!

Sorry for the double post, but I would like to draw the following question to your attention:

Zahara: Who would be up for an additional race there?

Are you guys running on Monday as planned? I should be able to make the race as I'll be on fall break. :)
