What do you think is best, cornering, acceleration or braking?

Personally I think acceleration but that might change when I can drive. :D

for me it would be cornering, as negating the twisty stuff in either GT or RL is far more satisfying than simply speeding up or slowing down quickly!

Brakes since you really can't do any of that unless you can stop the car. What good is a 4 second 0-60 time when you can't stop for the huge corner up a head.

Handleing, If your car handles well enought you won't have to break and you will carry more speed out of the corner meaning acceleration isnt as big of a deal.

They slow you down so you don'y plow into a wall when the road turns or the drag strip ends. I don't see how anything else can be important.

Well you can't do cornering or braking without acceleration.

how about braking to upset the back, accelerating to keep the wheels spinning, and driving around the corner with the car facing perpendicular to the direction of travel :D

I love accelleration and cornering, but moreso accelleration (only slightly). Also love the feeling of good brakes.

Luckily my Skyline is awesome at all three. :D

Considering that a car that can't do all three is almost as useless as this thread...

Accleration is the nectre of the gods for me. I don't really care about going around corners really fast (wheel berring wear and public roads) cause it's the easiest place to screw up and lose it. On a race track that would be different. However I've never been to a race track so I can only speak from road experience.

There's nothing like mashing your foot to the floor and getting jolted back in your seat while the engine starts to roar and the scenery starts to whip past faster and faster. I don't even really care to much how fast the car will go top end so long as it can get up there faster than anything else nearby! 👍

I guess that all must be kinda obvious now looking at my sig. I'm a muscle car freak. They were mostly built to do one thing. Suck your eye balls back in your head from stop light to stop light.

I'm thinkin he meant which do you personally prefer to be doing when driving....

balance. or the combination of all three you idiots.

shoulda locked it up after you posted duke.

Well I guess you don't know that there are many forms of driving out there then do you. You aren't going to worry about cornering ability on a drag car are you? Just like a oval track racer is going worry more about handeling and top speed more then anything.

But the one thing that stays constant whether it be on the road or the track, and that's braking.

Braking. Even if your car is slow and handles like crap (i.e. '86 Ford Thunderbird :) ) it can still turn out some pretty fast laps with braking ability alone.

I left-foot brake whilst taking Copse corner in third at Silverstone - so you can :sly:
