I went on to GT5 last night and my saved game had vanished and it restarted me from step one again. I would not have been too worried but I had 1046 cars, 247 helmets, 163 suits, 16.5 million credits, 6 drivers, 4.5 million online credits, 1600 paints, lvl 38 aspec, lvl 40 bspec and 2% to complete the game and only 5 cars to get the complete the collection. Am i able to retrieve my saved game from the corrupt file on my ps3 or is it a long journey and many hours again?

Unless you backed up your save on a USB drive/memory stick or with the playstation plus you're gonna have to restart unfortunately.

Make sure you pick up a USB memory stick so you can back up your save from now on.

sorry for your loss.

Thanks for answering. Been playing on the game from very first day, never even thought of backing it up :dunce:I will now, the only upside is that triple money is still available and the seasonals are now in operation to get xp points and able to level up quicker. worst thing is that I had just bought the sauber c9 and only needed five cars to complete the collection.

my game went corrupt to like last week but i was lucky and had a very old game saved on my phone and was able to salvage 200 cars but it sucked there is a option to try and salvage your files in the menu I think its under network utilities just check around you might get lucky

How did you get a save on your phone? If you can put saves onto an iPhone I will be a very happy camper.

you can save a save game file on anything that lets you copy things. i have save games on my android//psp/sd card lol

Sweet, I've been using the same usb for two different saves, so I could only have one backup.
