Corrupted file... back to 20,000 Cr. !!!

I know it won't change anything, but I just lost 3 months of GT5 gaming tonight... I was level 31 in A-Spec and 37 in B-Spec, and I just got the message that my file was corrupted...

To those who had the same nightmare... did you start all over again? Did you stop playing GT5? To be honest with you, i really really love the game, but I don't know what to do... I mean, I was enjoying all of the high speed Ferrari F1 races, and now I must go back to Beginner races... I don't even have enough money to buy the cheapest car to win the last seasonal event still online...

Back to square one...

back to nothing after having almost licences in gold/silver and 24A-spec and 10B-spec... :/

i was trying to dump my first car... an F1... and the game screwed me LOLL
(dont know what happened, looks like it works with everyone)

anyway: i've started again and i'm almost in the same point as before, except for the licences...

Its a good game!
 
Another example of how much duping is at your own risk you mean :-) All of this happened when I transferred my save on a USB stick to my PS3... Anyways, it's all my fault and I assume it at 100%, even though I'm a bit sad now !

Happened to me too...600+ cars gone. Don't give up! A little help from friends and some seasonals I was back on my feet again :)

I'm moving my cars back to my main acct but pm me as I have all the cars for the seasonals up on my shared list and I'll gladly let you use them
 
Btw, when i back up my save game, i always remove the usb connector from my wireless keyboard and mouse.

I know how you feel, my ps3 broke and I didnt have my save backed up. Planning on starting over, when I get it back from sony there's a chance it might be mine and not a refurbished one so my hd might still work.. but if not I'll be starting over. :\

Definitely going to back up after each session after this.
 
Well I'll help you out for sure... I just accepted your FR and I will send you the cars you need to start all over again... I am now level 5 in Aspec, and I have 3 cars now, my best one being a bone stock 1991 Skyline :-)))

Save a copy every few days onto your PC from your flash drive, so even if your flash drive crashes, you still have a copy on your PC to transfer to a new drive. I even go as far as saving a copy in an email as an attachment, just in case my PC AND flash drive get messed up for any reason (yes I'm paranoid, but it sure beats starting all over again).

They'll clean your drive in any case - data protection protocol apart from anything else. My PS3 old and fat broke down with the GT5 disk stuck in it, not backed up. 3 weeks in and I'm back to square one with no console and no game. Got a replacement console under sony's scheme but they were very slow returning/replacing the disc so I went out and bought another. Luckily, the newly introduced seasonals helped me level up quickly to start with.

I use USB, SD and Compact Flash as backups now.
 
You can add me, I've all 5 cars for the seasonal bonus race online.
