One of my most used cars is my Corvette ZR1 RM. I recently acquired a second one through a trade, and realized the names were different. In mine, the full name was (Chevrolet) Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM. Says Chevrolet in the manufacturers spot and in the car name. That seemed fine, but in the traded one it is listed as (Chevrolet) Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM; it doesn't put "Chevrolet" in the car name. What is going on? Is it because it's traded?

I've seen this with a couple of my RM cars. I assumed PD changed the naming convention in an update.

Can't remember which way round it was, but an older RM conversion had the different name from the newer one. Both cars the same, not traded.

No it doesn't matter, but perhaps the OP was thinking he got something he wasn't expecting?

Does it really matter ?

Does anything really matter? No. However the op asked a question pertaining to gt5 and this is the gt5 q&a forum. He posed a relevant question, you on the other hand not so much which kinda means your post doesn't matter.

Anyway, to the op- same as what Woodski said, I have noticed similar discrepancies with my rm'ed vettes too, only difference is that mine doesn't have it being listed as a rm. On one it does but not the other.
