In real life the (stock production car) record was set on Nurburgring by a Corvette ZR-1 at 7:26.4, which I'm sure many of you know. The video's on You Tube.
I would like to know what people's best lap times are in GT-5 on this course in the same car.
I spent about 2+ hrs. last night running it over and over until I got the cleanest run possible without hitting any walls, or going out of bounds very much, and the best time I could get was 7:35. However, that was after I accidentally increased the H.P. to 670 because I got an oil change. Other than that, I'm running the car with the sport hard tires that came on it and left the traction control set at 5 and the ABS at 1. I don't know what these settings/tires would have been on the real ZR-1 in the You Tube Video, so if anyone does, please inform. Either way, I would like to know what kind of times people are getting at as close to stock production as possible.

Try new lap with "racing hard tire"

because I heard in video that the Zr1 was running at racing tire

sorry about my poor English >_<

7:25.394 on hard sport tyres and everything else stock, no oil change and with one mayor screw up in the uphill before the 2nd split. Traction control 0, ABS 1, everything else off.

This car feels so unsafe. The suspension is like that of an SUV, so wavy and set for confort rather than race.

dark_ruffo, if this is true, you have my respect! I just bought another ZR-1 so as to have the stock H.P. without the oil change, put the settings the same as you did and ran sport hard tires, and got a 7:35.528. This car is a hand full indeed! It'll be a serious challenge to make a full 10 seconds faster!

Why are you guys not changing oils.. it doesn't get to the HP promised in the dealership until you change the oil.
