Seen a lot on here about the Chevy Corvette ZR1 and how powerful it is. But just wanted to check for myself before I go and splash the cash on one...can it really compete with the likes of Le Mans Prototypes in the 'Like the Wind' events? Obviously, I would be expecting to completely tune it up, but even so....seems a touch hard to believe given my completely tuned Gallardo gets blown out the water lol by these cars.

Just looking for a bit of guidance. Anyone offer any?

I wonder what that button in the top right hand corner of the home page that says ''SEARCH'' does..

I reckon this question will reach 100 threads by the end of the month.

YES YES YES

Vette ZR1 will do it...

get the race mods and hop it up to 892 hp. Like the wind will be easy and it's a good grinder. Don't forget to change the oil periodically.

You have to race mod the ZR1, and then yes it can compete and win. I did both Like The Wind races with the ZR1 RM.

Good lord, use the search function.

//I know that was already pointed out but I still feel it bears repeating.

It is apparently enough in A-spec with good driving. It is not quite good enough in B-spec though. I came in 2nd or 3rd race after race with level 20+ guys. I finally gave up and used the FGT.

If you win with the ZR1 in A-Spec, you get given a Toyota 88C which is more than enough for Bob to win with....

Ahhhh... so what YOU want to repeat bears repeating, but Lord help anybody else doing the same thing? 👎

The car costs about 200,000 Credits & the RM costs about 330,000 Credits, totaling to about 550,000 Credits. Once you RM the car, go to the tuning shop & purchase anything that adds HP. Also purchase the transmission, LSD, & suspension full modification if available. Once you do, copy this guy's setup on this thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=145198 (full credit to jorday)
After that, go on the Daytona race. You should be able to arrive in 1st position. When you do that, go to the Indy race. This one is a bit tough, but try blocking them when they get too close; They'll limit their speed. I know, it's cheating, but it's best to do it.
