IMO 350 horses is too much power to start out with learning to drift, and the FD is super quick and a more advanced drifitng car. Did you try the FC? It's always easier for me to learn a driving technique when I start too slow instead of the other way around. Start with fishtailing, you'll feel silly, but once you can hang the rear end out just a little bit and bring it back in you're on your way. Then you can just practice on hanging it out a little longer each time, the important part being that you can bring it back and not spin on the kickback. Then you can work on some intermediate stuff like following good lines and initiating the drift before you get to the corner. You said you're using a wheel so I take it you're using pedals too. In my opinion, drifting is more about throttle control than steering input. Experiment with the gas pedal - see what happens when you jab the pedal hard in mid-drift (spin) or when you let off (regain grip). That's probably the hardest part for me is throttle control.
