Counter steer doesn't do anything

IMO 350 horses is too much power to start out with learning to drift, and the FD is super quick and a more advanced drifitng car. Did you try the FC? It's always easier for me to learn a driving technique when I start too slow instead of the other way around. Start with fishtailing, you'll feel silly, but once you can hang the rear end out just a little bit and bring it back in you're on your way. Then you can just practice on hanging it out a little longer each time, the important part being that you can bring it back and not spin on the kickback. Then you can work on some intermediate stuff like following good lines and initiating the drift before you get to the corner. You said you're using a wheel so I take it you're using pedals too. In my opinion, drifting is more about throttle control than steering input. Experiment with the gas pedal - see what happens when you jab the pedal hard in mid-drift (spin) or when you let off (regain grip). That's probably the hardest part for me is throttle control.

I have a stock fc should i make it faster?what setting should i use for the fc and what tires? Here are my settings for my rz

Auto Setting: Level 30

ASM: 0

I have racing tires for that

Nothing looks seriously wrong to me there. Camber could be higher (a lower number) in the front. You might find it easier to loosen up the springs so that you see the car leaning. That makes it easier to know exactly where the weight is on the car.

Ryen, did you get those settings from somebody? That's an odd combination of stiff and loose settings. Like Thio said, you want the front a bit stiffer than the rear. Have you experimented with the stabilizer settings? You say the car is going off the track, is sliding off to the outside of the turn or the inside like a spin? If it's to the outside (understeer), increase the rear stiffness. Do the opposite for spins (oversteer).

Yeah I did get those settings from someone else. Thanks for the advice. The car is sliding towards the outside of the track.

For one thing it doesn't hold your line. You end up sliding off the track.

Your doing something wrong, either with your technique, or settings......... Because the S14 is one of the most ballanced drift cars in GT3...

There's a good reason it's my favorite drift car.....

;)

So do my settings look right?. I dont know what im doing wrong because my car slides right of the track. Sometimes i try tapping the gas when the car looses traction. what am i doing wrong?

Put more camber angle in the front to 2.0, tune down the rear camber 0.2, tune the bound and rebound to 7, and keep the ride height the same.

I hope that helps :)

edit: If you keep on sliding off of the track, that means that you have to change your style of drifting. Just keep on practicing ;)

you might want to try adding some positive toein the rear, it will make the car more stable. as for your lsd try putting accel on full, this will make the car easier to steer with the accelerator. put the initial as low as possible to get a quick turn in. as for the decel try it on low. if that doesnt work raise it up bit by bit till you got something you like. also you should check out the
settings guide at gttimes.com
