Yeah I've been playing it, surprised to see no thread for it yesterday in the lead up to the open-beta's release. This is the only thread so you're good 👍

It feels great, I'd even go so far as to say it feels better than Source in my inexperienced hands. Just really solid shooting and UI, all the modes, verrrry smooth. Can't wait for the full release.
 
Ya, I just played a few games and I enjoyed it.

The engine isn't too terribly demanding... Might be able to run it off much older hardware; not sure what the minimum specs are though.
 
im thinking of getting this but for my PS3 you can use the controler a Keyboard and or a ps move
 
Yeah I like playing gungame (arms race) a lot. Finding it hard to get myself back into regular old de or cs games. Wanna just pick up, play, and keep playing. The only thing getting me to try different modes in the beta is to see all the maps. The only two AR maps get old kind of quickly.

But how about that sawed off shotgun and Zeus thingies... pretty useless in my hands x)
 
Played the beta a bit yesterday, jummy! :P

The improvement in graphics over the Source version is impressive. I haven't tried all the new game modes yet, but it tastes like more.
 
Ya graphics are pretty good.

It's funny all the complaints I hear while I play from 1.6 players; rather annoying.

I like "demolition" a lot. Mainly because it makes you change tactics every round when you get a kill; I like that. Makes the game much more interesting.

I am hoping for more maps as well. If not, I will patiently wait for mods.
 
As for someone who has been playing since 1.5 I've been a bit disappointed with CS:GO. The first mistake is that they let the TF2 team do it, and they thought... Lets do CoD! No, this is CS no CoD. Strongly dislike the menu, and the menu music is obnoxious.

The animations are terrible, the guns are obnoxiously small. But I can deal with all that. The one major flaw is the shot registration. 1.6 had perfect reg, no issues. CS:S was fine if it was 100 tick, anything below and it was bad. This is downright terrible. Borderline unplayable. Did some testing with afk, point blank spray and the first 5-6 shots went right through.


FPS games continue to falter... :/ Ugh.
 
As our hunger for pixels grows, our latency grows along with it... you're lucky you can play online at all. My net just won't let me play anything online at the moment.
 
The menu looks very similar to CS:S, just radialized for console players. It still has the number functions to choose weapons.
