Prime minister I think came out and said it's part of the military not acting under orders. Therefore not a coup.

I'm sorry, but since when was not acting under orders to dispose of you not considered a coup?

If he throws his passport in the sea he might get into Europe :D
Russian "militarist" communities are on the hype train right now.
Many people are joking that Victor Yanukovich (the previous president of Ukraine who escaped to Russia in 2014) is going to have a roommate. :D

State television has been taken over and a general, Hulusi Akar, is held captive.

Good stuff though, this should keep me awake for a while.

I thought I'm going to spend this evening playing WT or watching anime, but no, I'm stocking up with popcorn (mmm, the one on your pic @mister dog must be for a reason ) and watching the news feeds.

How? You realize this coup could mean the end of Tiny Penis' dictatorship, which has done nothing but taint the country's image worldwide?
I'm taking about that they closed the bridges between eastern and western country

Awesome fly-by, but why would you need an F-16 in a situation like this?
Ace Combat much? and I mean it's a coup, the jets are surrounding the area, all planes that were headed the Turkey have landed, but the ones that were already there can't depart at the moment

They also have helicopters above the cities to show that they're in charge.

Pictures of the bridges over the Bosphorus. Empty. Streets empty.

Media reports of a curfew for the entire country.

Just heard a quote saying it's incredible how they could have kept this grand operation secret.
Fully agree 👍

Edit: Erdogy Erdogan now on a mobile phone skype call to the national TV station
