Ok, I am trying to figure out something for a spot race that would possibly go a few times around here. I have a few ideas and asking what others think and how many I can get into it.

Thought 1. a budget cap around 75,000 to 100,000 with different class cars. IE, you get 100,000 credits with a class A car, 87,500 with a class B car, and 75,000 class C car. The results Will be divided into different classes.

Thought 2. Matching up two or more evenly matched cars with a set amount of credits to spent minus car value. This could get interesting because one car may cost more.

Thought 3. This is for those with Sharkports or Xports and MK's program. I was thinking a Mildbrid contest. People come up with realistic mildbrids, those of which you can prove exist. That is the thing, you must show that they can be made. I will break them up into different classes due to the fact some guy could have a Z28 with a Z06 engine in it with 800hp versus some guy with a SiR II with only the integra type-r engine in it at 450hp.

Thought 4. A basic race where you choose a from different classes of cars and you run all the classes. The winner of class will earn money to be alotted to the next race; But along with winning, you gain weight on the car or lose the ability of some mods to make the competition fierce within a few rounds.

I would like to know what others think, and possibly if you have ideas maybe we can construct something together, even a totally new evolution with OLR.

Actually, (assuming you are using the classes the same way they are in arcade mode) it might be more interesting if you reverse the budget limits and let the C-class cars, like the Mini, have more money, and the cars that already have some power, less money. Then run them together to see if they're competitive. You might even see some "giant killers" getting built.:D

hmm, I actually like that a lot Gil. . . I might actually go ahead and set something up like that.

I actually was thinking of classing the cars as they are in arcade mode. Let me see what I can put together for some good racing. I hope to see a lot of Giant killers :D

I have a few Ideas for a "B-Class" ride, right now.:D

Hey that sounds like a good idea. I got a nasty B-Class car that when fully tuned up can beat a stock Viper!

ok, so I am assuming I got two people already for this, just a few more and then we can start this up. I will currently put it together where it should equal everything out. BTW Gil, I know of a few A class killers :D

Yeah, but everybody expects the A-Class cars to be fast.
I wanna build a competitive car from a B or C class "econobox"/grocery-gettter.

I'm thinking station-wagon, or S13, or heck even a PT cruiser.

Alright, I am happy that you agree with this one Boom. I have been wanting to try something out like this. :D You should check out my new started game shortly, I am going to try to go through a good portion of it with mildbrids. Anyways try to find out who is interested in it and I'll see what I could put together. I know that you have a lot of time taken up for the weekly series, so I only would expect you to participate nothing more.

PS, for everyone, I would like to see some votes here :)

Why not post a list of the cars you realistically expect to see, and what classes they would be in?

What kind of "mildbryds" are you talking about exactly miata?

Something that would be possible in the real world?

So like putting a turbo Supra engine in my IS 300? :D

If it has been done or there are plans to do it, then those are the types of mildbrids. Here are a few examples. . .

Civic SiR II with a B18C5 engine in it -> The integra Type R one, with a spoon suspension. I know back when that car was prime Spoon made a package for it.

Camaro Z28 with a Corvette engine -> I know this swap is quite popular among us southern folk. I also know of plans to drop the Z06 engine into one but have not seen the final product of it.

S13 with an S15 engine in it -> popular among drifters.

Pretty much cars like that. If you have seen it and can find it on the net to look over, then it is a mildbrid that is acceptable in this type of race :D

I see the one that will win the C-class, if I have no budget cap.
The B-Class has several interesting prospects.
The A-Class is nothing but interesting prospects.
I see the Speed-Six doing some major damage in the A-Class.
The only 4WD that I'd consider potent enuff for the rest of the competition is the Ruf.

I'm taking a break for a couple of days from GT3. Building up my super characters for "Baldur's Gate".
I see some testing in my near future. Like Friday, and Monday.:D

O BTW, I also like "Thought 2". Like a "Vette vs Vette showdown"
Or "S13 vs 180SX." Or "RX7 type RS vs. Type RZ."
I could go on and on....

Ok well, I think a little more participation is needed to get this off the ground here, but either way we will run something agreeable on :D

Miata lets go with thought one cuz thats what every one but boom seems to wanna do. I'm working on my car right now actuallly as soon as I'm done on line.

In re-examining the list of cars.
I have narrowed my choices down to two (2) cars that are most likely to be the winners in the 'C-Class'
Four (4) cars in the 'B-class',
and six (6) in the 'A-Class'.
Testing to commence tommorow. Though I may have to disqualify one of my choices in the 'A-Class' as I have already made some "irreversible" mods on the car and I'm not gonna do the races required to get another one.

So, I guess all we need is a track and a direction to run it in. Unless you choose Monaco or Laguna Seca.

The "String" would be interesting, but entirely too time comsuing, from my point of view.
If we're throwing in our '2-cents'...
I like Trial Mtn. (both directions-we could do that and try for consistency in times going both ways)
Grand Valley Speedway-A long haul, but very technical with several very challenging "make or break" turns.
Deep Forest-Not as long as GVS, but also quite technical, with a lot of "make or break" corners.
Rome Circuit-either direction-all the technicality of Seattle, without the stupid elevation changes.

I'm getting mildly pumped on this one.

Ok looks like this is going to be it then. . . Here you go, after contemplating this and what to do for it, you pick three cars, 1 from each class and run with it. You get 60 grand in credits for the A's and 85 grand credits for the b's and mod out the C's fully. . . The track will be announced once the cars have been decided. I will say I believe Rome or Seattle are good choices. . . Grand Valley is an excellent race to do, but it is missing something on that course that I believe SSR 11 will decide. hmm. . . I forgot that god awful track. . .I believe it is time to face the fears of a Midnight run on SSR 11 both directions, and to take this to the next evolution, we will run on SSR 5 Wet at a point :D

Are we gonna "standardize" a tire. Or will we have to run what we can afford, at the expense of power/handling/gear ratio flexability?
I'm all for making the standard t3 or t4 tires, just to make things "interesting".

It'll also give me that much more to spend on other mods.

Well, I actually want to see the fastest that we can get these cars going and post a few times, possibly beating some records. Lets go no guts no glory with a nice brand new set of T8s :D on the house :D
