0/5 also. An almost 2 year ,(and silent) wait for what PD delivered is beyond comprehension. Obviously the app itself is a beta test for how any course maker will be implemented for GT7.

My opinion -
1. GT5s CM only needed extra parameter tweaking options to be a vast improvement for a GT6 CM. Why they did not just do that and save the long wait is beyond logical thinking.
2. PD owe buyers an explanation, something, anything,to justify why this is so late to arrive.
3. GT7 will be a false promise delay fest also. PD will overreach once again. Just wait and see.

When is assetto corsa coming to console again...
I agree, I've already predicted that by the time GT7 comes out, the Playstation 5 will be released, so no one will care about the PS4. Ill even guess that Project cars 2 and Forza Motorsport 7 will be released before GT7

Yep..., no need to side load it onto a Nexus 7 - just install it like any other app. It's still got more functionality than pCars track editor ;) , and if you think being able to dictate the route of the track over picking some random crap is a step backwards maybe you're just getting hung up on what you don't have, rather than looking at what you do.

Well, here in the UK, Google store says "this app is not available in your country" on my Nexus, and that it's not compatible on my Android phone, hence the side loading. Read some other threads about the problems many others are having before stating that it's so straightforward.
pCARS was never advertised as having a track editor but GT6 was, but I bet if we got an editor for pCARS, it will firstly be buggy, but more likely, when it's patched, be better than PD's effort !
So, we can dictate the track route now, big deal but try doing a tight hairpin turn with a run off area, try replicating off camber corners that are wider or narrower than the rest of the track, what about the great copies of Pikes Peak that have been made without a single elevation change or bumps that are out there now !
If you are seriously suggesting TPE is a major step forward, after all the hype we've endured over the two year wait, then you must be easily pleased.

I wouldn't go to that extreme. It will be a PS4 title we can be sure.

What I can say for absolute certainty is that Gran Turismo is not exciting to me personally anymore. I grew up with the series from being a late teenager to now being in my mid 30s, and in my eyes PD have slowly strangled my enthusiasm for the series in a gradual process of direction loss decisions, lack of fan based communication skills plus questionable delays.

But die hard fans or casuals just won't get it. And that's the target audience PD have publicly said that they are going for.

It's a shame but i'm glad there are better driving and racing games out thesedays.

Yeah, I only said the PS4 thing because it was released before GT6 was. by 2 weeks.

But GT6 (and kinda GT5) has lost my interest now. I just recently bought a new PS2 to start playing GT3 and GT4 again. Had more fun with those in the past 3 weeks than GT6 had the past year for me. GT6 is just too easy a game, and GT3 and 4 are actually rather challenging but still huge fun. My college roommates question why I play a 10 year game (15 years GT3 now) but they'll never understand what i grew up with :D

Well, in my part of the UK Google store doesn't say "this app is not available in your country", and it installed on my Nexus 7 just fine. Prior to purchasing the tablet it was up and running within a few minutes on my PC. Sorry if others have problems, but for me it works exactly as it should.

Yeah that kind of is a big deal, before you couldn't set a corner of any angle, you just had to keep refreshing the track until you got a corner you liked - of course that meant all the rest of the corners changed too, but yes of course... people now get hung up on the one type of corner we can't make. The fact people decide to constantly use Eifel flat for "replicas" does the situation no favours either, but that's down to them.

Yeah, the TPE is a major step forward, GT5 course creator was so crap PD really didn't have to do much to make it better, and I am happy with it because it still has a lot of possibilities and can be used to make tens, if not hundreds, of worthwhile tracks. Also, "hype"? I must have missed PD's advertising campaign for this feature, to me it looked like one statement on their website and a couple of pretty vague answers in interviews. If you think it's been hyped up, blame GTPlanet.

TL;DR Would TPE be better with added functionality? Of course it would*. Is it better than nothing? Absolutely. Is it better than GT5's effort? In my opinion, definitely (on account of the fact you can actually, y'know, layout the track).

*My personal hope for TPE v1.1, is a greater variety of track side assets.

Must be MatskiMonk LOL :D:D:D

3/5 actually, for as long as making courses in GT has been a thing I've been saying that if you can't make a track feel like its a distinct venue, its not good enough. Another reason why I think the TPE is a big jump from GT5s effort, limited thought it is, at least we can place some items... rather than just having a castle on every hill

I gave it a four out of five. I have downloaded about 12-18 custom tracks, and while I enjoy them, I have an issue.

They don't have the personality of some of their real world counterparts. Can't quite do enough with them.

It's a great start, the ease of creating a track from scratch and racing on it in just minutes is something that few software can touch, but some areas I feel seem to have not had much time spent, the 600m home straight which was in GT5 creates problems, most common courses that don't have such long straights, some additional options, such as smaller pit area or even pit areas that simply have tents would have helped.

The editor being built in a slot form creating specialized corner tools such as hairpins, chicanes & 90 degree turns that could be dropped in, would help with the problematic turns.

The ability to scale the track after it is drawn (realizing it can only reduce down to the minimum length of segments) but some option.

A few more track objects such as braking markers and other objects would allow tracks to have more personalty.

Hopefully we will see our feedback adding to more updates for the GT6 and not abandon for GT7.

Somebody then is trolling us with that one vote. WHO DARE DO THIS?!?!? :banghead:
Maybe they genuinely think it's worthy of a 5/5. Unpopular opinions do not automatically equal trolling.

I just recently tried to make a jumping map using that technique of adding as much anchors as possible to a straight.
I made some good maps, but still doesn't make me happy about the CM.The process of creating jumps and bumps still relies on luck on how you make the track.
I would like to have an option of adding a jump on the track and fine tune it.

Although i did make a very cool track on Andalusia:
