@nosoks 2:02.249

@krsht3 2:02.426

@SpaceBreed 2:02.874

Well done to those of you that had a go, in what was a very fun combo, and a great car! Weekly TT's from now on, so the next AC TT starts next Saturday, the 3rd of November!!

The new Assetto CRAP TT is:

The Lotus Type 25 At Old Monza Short!!!

Conditions:

Time: 14:00h
Weather: Clear
Temp: 24C
Track Condition: Optimum

To be done in "Hot Lap" mode using the above conditions, with stock setup, factory settings and 0% Stability Control, although you can adjust tyre compound, fuel and brake pressure. Post an in game screenshot of your time for it to count. This TT will end next Friday night, the 9th of November, good luck! ;)

The Type 25 at Old Monza Short. On PC, the names are different. Here's a list from longest to shortest.

  1. Monza 1966 - Full Course 10,000m (With banked high speed loop)
  2. Monza 1966 - Road Course 5,793m (close to current day Monza)
  3. Monza 1966 - Junior Course 2,405m (the back straight to the start/pit area connected with a turn through an infield)
I take it we are running the Junior course?

Im asking so I don't mess up and submit the wrong car at the wrong track again. :lol:

This one is for a full week, so November 3rd to November 10th, correct?

:edit 2:
Initial drive. The Type 25 feels great. It rewarded me for not sliding, but I do think this is exactly the wrong way to approach driving it. I hope I am not off the pace by 6+ seconds. It would be kind of upsetting seeing that I like this car. We'll see. There are some monstrous hot shoes in this group. I mean that in the best way possible.

:edit 3:
Then I went and got distracted driving the Maserati 250f at Monza '66 JR. Heel and Toe downshifting is... Different. I had to rev the heck out of it to match the revs. More so than the Type 25, which requires a considerable amount of revving to smoothly engage the lower gears, when braking. Please put this car in the mix sometime Hammy. good!

Haha yeah man it's the shortest of the 3, this game is confusing sometimes with the tracks! :P And yes @Dopplegagger a full week next Friday night it will end.

And sure if popular, the old Maserati 250f will be the next TT.......At Nords!!!! Hahaha just kidding!

If boats were this much fun then we'd all be playing with boat simulators.

I can't get it to turn like I want it to, and feels like it floats when trying to turn. Haven't driven many cars that need more than 180 degree turning on the wheel

Seconded...

The Maser 250F 6-cyl and 12-cyl are great fun... more floaty than wipeout!

:D I think that's quite a realistic description TBH - they don't like grip, but they can be pointed in roughly the right direction!

Hmm, the first CRAP TT with DNFs, screenshot of how far round you get?! :mischievous:

I dunno, Brands GP?

Good choice mate, something flowing for sure.....And yes Nords would be the first non-TT me thinks, just a survival horror lol!

Lol I noticed that too on PS4 the timing goes wrong at the splits.....Nice time man!!

Ha, yeah, it can't add up! I was just miffed that I got 3 purple sectors in a row, but haven't managed to do them in a lap yet ;)

58.792! This is getting close!! :D

There are times a fair bit faster on RSR, but it lumps runs with different times of day / track temps together and no idea what tunes were used. They were also mostly set in early 2017, so maybe even a different tyre model! All that to say I've no idea what time an alien could do :lol:

I've been driving in anger ever since this Time trial began. I still have yet to crack the minute mark, but I firmly believe I will. Save a spot in the 0:58's for me... :)

Right now I'm steady in the low 1:02's but that is mostly due to getting use to the car. I like it, still... but it does take a lot to wring the best out of it.

Had another go - still very close, couldn't manage to pull even a tenth ahead! Little lock-ups and wobbles seem to cost so much time on such a short lap, but at least it stayed mostly on track :)

58.709

That's already great man!
I like that nice graphic image with purple sectors. Your potential lap will be 23.458+17.101+17.829=58.388.
I wish we had something like that on PS4, it would be very helpful coz I'm sure I could get into that 58.8 or 58.7 but just didn't add up.
Great job as always 👍

Thanks! It doesn't feel safe from a hamster that's known to squirrel away tenths in its cheeks though - I won't get another chance to run this evening, so now I just have to watch nervously to see what happens! :)

I get the feeling that my purple sectors wouldn't fit together into that one theoretical lap, so maybe a tenth or two I lost out on. Having that display is great - I'd worked out how to enter T1 by lap 4, but it took another 10 laps to get it 'just right' again :lol:

:dopey:

I finally managed to nail that last corner....Now my cheeks are empty! (I'm not saying which ones either! :D )

Results up later fellas, please post any final times! ;)
