i just want drag racing to be actually interesting and involve some skill in doing good and drag racing is very popular in nz where i come from. does any one now of any import drag racing games apart from need for speed and juiced they both are unrealistic

drag racing is more about technical prowess than actual fun gameplay, i.e. setting up your car properly, getting the right balance between grip and power, balancing durability with weight. etc.

will gt4 have cool drag physics? in previous gt games taking of in a 400 metre sprint was straight foward maybe a bit of wheel spin but nuthin fancy and if you put on super soft slick tyres it would still spin as normal will this be diferent ??

GT4 will have an accurate representation of what happens when you accelerate.. based on how you do it.. that's all you can be sure of.

I never really viewed drag racing in that way. I always saw it as being a good cure for insomnia (if you can put up with the noise). But I won't worry about how accurate the physics in drag mode are. I'm only going o play it as much as I have to to finish the game off, then forget about it.

OH man, dont get started on other drag racing games.

A while back i bought IHRA 2. Man, if you want real style drag racing, thats the game. Unfortunately, the graphics, the load times, and other stuff completely killed the game.

That game really gives you an idea of all thats involved in drag racing.

I will say one thing. I love the misconception that drag racing is just "floor it and go straight." Sure, you can do that, but you wont go fast. The goal of drag racing is to be king. And to do that, you gotta know alot about suspension, engine, and transmissions. The good stuff.

I think GT4 will have a fun drag racing feature, but nothing too spectacular. But thats fine. GT was never a drag racing game to begin w/, so whatever they cooked up, im sure will be enjoyable.
