Cherokee Racing Championships, a growing online racing community, was founded in July 2018 as an idea of finding a balance between super serious racing competitions, and fun, easy to access racing. Our Super Trofeo championship was a valuable success to us as we first started up, and now as we make our foray into endurance, we aim to build on that success. The concept of this championship is simple in theory, a 60 minute endurance race following 30 minutes of warm up and 15 minutes of qualifying, keeping the entire event within two hours. We hope to see you join us!

3.1. For drivers wishing to compete in the championship, they must state their intentions to race either as a full time competitor or a wild card/part time competitor.
3.2. All competitors must be a part of a team. Teams can have one or two drivers per class.
3.3. Team names cannot be based on real life teams that have been in operation at any point since 2010.
3.4. All competitors must reserve a personal number for use between 3-99.
3.4.1. The number 1 is reserved for the reigning LMP2 Driver's Champion, while number 2 is reserved for the reigning GTE Driver's Champion.
3.5. Entries that are registered as full time, but fail to attend two or more events will be automatically demoted to wild card status.
3.6. All teams must reserve a primary sponsor for their cars. These primary sponsors cannot be featured on other teams' cars.
3.6.1. Primary sponsors cannot be tobacco companies, pornography related, or political.
3.7. Teams may run up to two cars in LMP2, and up to three cars in GTE.
4.1. Both LMP2 and GTE will be required to use the official CRC RES numberplates, as well as additional decals which vary per class.
4.2. LMP2 Class must follow more uniform requirements regarding decal and numberplate placement, due to the car being spec.
4.2.1. LMP2 Class cars will use the blue CRC RES numberplate designed specifically for the class. The numberplates are required to be behind the front tires next to the position tracker lights on both sides of the car. The numberplates must be identical in size on each side.
4.2.2. LMP2 Class must use the default GT Sport number font for the numbers to be used with the numberplates. The numbers must be white.
4.2.3. The CRC logo must be present on the nose cone of the car for LMP2 Class. The logo needs to be small enough to not be warped by the curve of the nose cone.
4.2.4. LMP2 Class cars are limited to having Michelin or Dunlop branding on their cars regarding tire supplier. Regardless of supplier choice, tire supplier logos must be present on the car on the front of the car as well as closer to the rear of the car. Exact positions are to be left to each team to select.
4.3. GTE Class cars have more requirements to their liveries due to more options being available to use.
4.3.1. GTE Class cars will use the orange CRC RES numberplate, with the same number font requirements as LMP2. Additionally, GTE cars must have their car numbers present on the rear of the car near one of the car's brake lights. The number font must be white, the number plate must be orange.
4.3.2. The CRC organization decal must be present on the GTE cars, but there are two positions to select from. Liveries can feature the decal in front of both side mirrors, or on the C pillar on both sides of the car as well.
4.3.3. GTE Class cars are limited to Michelin tire branding. Michelin logos, in any modern variant, must be present on the front and rears of the cars in any easily visible position.
4.3.4. GTE Class cars must have the white Gran Turismo windshield banner applied.
4.3.5. GTE Class cars must have yellow headlights.
4.4. All cars must have driver usernames in use and clearly visible.
4.5. All cars are limited to a single base livery design, though alterations, such as decal changes, and color palate swaps will be permitted.
4.6. To prevent clash of interest, organizations unaffiliated to CRC will not be permitted to be present on liveries competing in the series.
5.1. CRC online events are clean racing environments. Rough, but fair competition is expected. Accidents will be reviewed after each race when reported and post race penalties may be assessed.
5.2. Drivers must be aware of their surroundings at all times in a multi-class environment. Drivers in the faster class will be expected to drive cleaner and use patience with their overtakes.
5.3. Drivers attempting to lap cars will need to use flashing lights as well as patience in passing. Likewise, drivers being lapped must maintain a predictable line until after they have been cleared by the passing car.
5.4. Drivers that have been lapped cannot fight to regain that lap unless they are engaged in a battle for direct position on track.
5.5. Racing surface is designated by tarmac within white lines and multi-colored curbing found on the edges of of the race track. Astroturf, grass, dirt, sand, painted tarmac, and tarmac outside of the white lines along the edges of the racing surface cannot be used to gain a lasting advantage such as completing an overtake, defending a position, or gaining time on a car behind or in front.
5.5.1. Penalties regarding track limits will only be assessed based on if drivers gained a measurable time advantage or positions on track.
5.6. Pit entry and exit lines are to be respected at all times. Pit lines are defined as solid lines (white or yellow), that lead into pit lane, and lead out of pit lane back onto the racing surface.
5.7. Drivers that prematurely leave a race once will be given a disciplinary warning for the first offense. The second time a driver leaves a race before the finish, the driver will be removed from the full time roster and placed in the list of wild card/part time drivers.
5.8. Drivers vying to defend a position on track are allowed to make as many proactive and reactive moves as they deem fit. However, if they make a blocking attempt that a) forces a driver off track, or b) hinders another competitor via on track accident, a penalty will be assigned for avoidable collision.
6.1. Lobbies for each weekend will open at 8:00 p.m. to allow for 30 minutes of warm up practice.
6.2. At 8:35 p.m, the 15 minute qualifying session will begin. Competitors running late must be in the lobby before 8:50 p.m. to be permitted to start the race.
6.2.1. Once qualifying has concluded, everyone will be advised to park in the parc ferme location, which will be located before the session begins.
6.3. After gathering qualifying times and setting the starting grid, all drivers will be asked to confirm how many drivers they car see on track. Any issues must be rectified before the race begins.
6.4. The races will utilize the standing start allowed by the game, with the race duration being set to 60 minutes. LMP2 Class drivers will be placed in front of the GTE Class cars by default unless a grid penalty explicitly requires otherwise.
7.1. Safety car periods, also known as full course yellows or cautions, can be brought out to neutralize the race for periods of time deemed fit by race officials.
7.1.1. The criteria for a Safety Car deployment (SCD), are the following:
7.1.1.1. Mass disconnection, described as three or more competitors disconnecting from the lobby in 120 seconds.
7.1.1.2. Serious accident involving 3 or more cars regardless of severity of mechanical damage received (mechanical damage must be received in some capacity to count).
7.1.1.3. Serious accident in which two cars receive engine damage.
7.1.1.4. An accident where a driver has come to rest in a dangerous location in relation to other competitors and the racing line.
7.2. In the case of a mass disconnection, the Safety Car driver, race official, or the race leader, will type "SCD MD" and lead the field to a red flag stop before the start/finish line.
7.2.1. Drivers in GTE Class that are between the LMP2 Class leader and GTE Class leader will be permitted to pass the LMP2 leader and catch up to the end of the queue for the red flag.
7.2.2. The race official and/or Safety Car driver will record the order of the drivers remaining and then everyone will exit the race and wait for the disconnected drivers to return. Once the drivers have returned, the race will restart with with less time based on how much time was remaining when the mass disconnect occurred.
7.2.3. Disconnected drivers will be scored based on the final lap they completed before being disconnected, and will start at the rear of the field on the race restart.
7.3. In the case of an accident causing a safety car deployment, the field will proceed at racing speed until they finish their current lap. Afterwards, they must maintain a reasonable speed above 70 miles per hour to catch the safety car queue. (In the event that a safety car is not available, the LMP2 Class leader will act as the head of the safety car queue upon completing their current lap.)
7.3.1. Once all cars have caught up to the safety car queue, GTE drivers that are between the LMP2 Class leader and GTE Class leader will be permitted to pass on the right hand side to catch up to the rear of the safety car queue.
7.3.2. After all of the applicable GTE cars have passed the LMP2 leader, all LMP2 cars will use the right side of the track to pass the GTE cars so the classes can restart without being dangerously mixed.
7.3.3. Once all cars are in their correct positions, the safety car will be pulled off track at the end of that current lap, and the race can resume.
7.4. Under a Safety Car period, all drivers must be single file, with two car lengths minimum between each car for most of the period.
7.5. The safety car will run at a speed of 70 miles per hour.
7.6. Pits will remain open the entire duration of the safety car period. Drivers are encouraged to pit before joining the queue of cars behind the safety car. Drivers that pit after they have caught up to the safety car queue will be forced to move to the end of the queue based on how they exited pit lane.
7.6.1. The pit lane does not open at all once a safety car has been called for mass disconnection due to the race being red flagged.
7.7. The safety car period is designed to run three full laps. However, there will not be an expectation of maintaining that standard for the sake of safely following the procedure.
7.7.1. For example, if the safety car is called for on lap 25, laps 26, 27, and 28 will all be run under safety car conditions, with the race returning to green flag conditions at the end of lap 27.
7.7.2. Using the example above, all cars are encouraged to pit at the end of the race leader's lap 25. Lap 26 (first full lap of caution) will be used to allow all cars to catch up to the safety car queue for the first time. Lap 27 (second lap of caution) will be the lap in which the GTE cars between class leaders are permitted to catch up to the rear of the queue to avoid being disadvantaged as well as the lap where the LMP2 cars will be grouped together in the front of the queue. Lap 28 (final lap of caution) will see the field recollected in the right order to prepare for the race resuming.
7.8. Once the field enters the last sector of the track, drivers may bunch up closer to allow for a decent restart.
7.9. Races can end under safety car if the safety car period is called for with under four laps left in the race.
7.10. Overtaking other competitors under safety car conditions is prohibited unless a) the car being overtaken is below 60 miles per hour, b) the car being overtaken is off track, or c) the race official is instructing drivers to follow certain safety car procedures.
8.1. The driver that finishes a race in first in class will earn 12 points.
8.2. The driver that finishes a race in second in class will earn 9 points.
8.3. The driver that finishes a race in third in class will earn 6 points.
8.4. The driver that finishes a race in fourth in class will earn 4 points.
8.5. The driver that finishes a race in fifth in class will earn 2 points.
8.6. The driver that finishes a race in sixth in class will earn 1 points.
8.7. Drivers that finish seventh or lower in GTE will earn 0.5 points as long as they are classified as finished the race.
8.8. To score points, drivers must complete 90% race distance compared to the overall race winner, and must take the checkered flag.
8.9. Championships will be available for LMP2 Drivers, GTE Drivers, GTE Teams, and GTE Manufacturers.
9.1. The room mode for CRC Rolex Endurance Series events will be set to "Practice/Endurance Race".
9.2. Lobbies will be clearly coded for understanding. Each lobby will include the round number and series acronym. For example, the lobby title for the first round would be "CRC RES S1 R01".
9.3. The starting procedure for each event will be a standing start with false start check.
9.4. Grid order will be initially set to "Fastest First", unless that lobby has to abandon an attempted start. From that point on, the lobby order will be determined via "Set by Host".
9.5. Boost will not be utilized in any formal CRC championships.
9.6. Slipstream Strength will always be set to real for CRC championships.
9.7. Visible Damage will be turned on.

9.14. Category of cars allowed in the lobby will be preset to off.
9.15. In game automatic Balance of Performance will be turned off due to the series having specific regulations.
9.16. Maximum Tire Rating will be be the racing super soft compound.
9.17. Minimum Tire Rating will be set to the racing soft compound.
9.18. Tuning will be set to no limit.

10.1.2. Crossing the pit exit line will result in a 10 second post race time penalty.
10.1.3. Repeated corner cutting will result in a 10 second post race time penalty.
10.1.3.1. Penalty is awarded for three recorded corner violations in a five lap span, and can be repeated as necessary.
10.1.3.2. Penalty also can be avoided based on if a lasting advantage has been earned from the track boundary violation.

10.1.8.1. Illegal blocking maneuvers are defensive moves that impede a driver of a different class, force contact between two cars, or forces a car off the racing surface.
10.2. A driver that receives over 60 seconds in time penalties will be subject to disqualification.
10.3. In the instance that a race ends under caution, penalties issued from that event will be applied at the offending driver's next event in the form of a stop and go penalty for the total time amount of penalties issued if the amount of penalties equal less than 60 seconds.

10.3.3.1. The length of the suspension is left to the race steward to finalize on a per case basis.
10.3.4. Insulting a driver through prejudice or unfounded malice will result in a one race suspension once evidence is brought forward. An appeal will not be granted.

I would consider this team intervention announcement a success.

Changes to the rulebook have been made, specifically in regards to LMP2 and GTE regulations. LMP2 has been adjusted to be 529 BHP (100% power), and 1,855 lbs/855 kg (95% weight). GTE Class regulations regarding minimum weight have been made more flexible to allow cars the possibility of being up to 2 kg/5 lbs under the 1,200 kg/2,646 limit.

Announcing a couple of things.
1) GTE will have 2 BoP settings, one specifically for Le Mans and then one for the other 5 races on the calendar.
2) GTE teams will be permitted to field up to 3 full time cars instead of 2. All GTE cars will be made to accomodate this change in the rulebook.
3) Fuel consumption settings will be adjusted. Fuel consumption will be turned down to x1.
4) After reviewing entries and potential interest, the Toyota Supra will be made available for full time competition.
5) CRC is in the process of reviewing the Japanese round of the calendar, with the intention of replacing Suzuka with a better Japanese alternative. Fuji and Kyoto are both set to be reviewed over the upcoming week with a decision to be made before October 1st.

Announcing now that there will be an exhibition event on October 6th at Maggiore GP, acting as a preparation test for the season. Everyone is recommended to attend, but attendance is not mandatory as points are not on offer. If you are attending, please confirm.
