X3N0D3ATH-
Hello All. Before I hop into this just wanted to say hello. My first thread here on GTP I've been a regular visitor and now I want to contribute.

So credit grinding. What it is, how to do it and my personal strategies.

Simply its building up credits to get that all important car or to tune your whole garage. I have this figured out: Time + Prize = Gross Winnings. Gross Winnings - Car, Parts, and Maintainence = Net Winnings. The more you sink into getting your car and keeping it working well the less you end up with in the end. So since Time ultimately equals money let's go.

Strategies:

Before you even get on the track you should ideally have your Daily bonus up to 200% that way you work more efficiently. I have two preferred methods that I use and these are it.

International A Like The Wind:
Take your pick of race but most people prefer Race 3 at SSRX doing 1 lap. Its a simple run, Two Straightaways, and Two wide sweeping Corners. The simplicity makes it easy for a quick run to get credits, especially for people who don't want to actually deal with a technical track. The race is simple, just go faster in a line than everyone else. However the simplicity has its faults, it is horribly boring and has put me to sleep late at night, (getting rudely jarred awake when my 260+ mph rocket inevitably smashes into a corner) and has thoroughly ruined the track for me. I would recommend using something as cheap as you can find that can go 260+ Mph/400+ Kph, and using that, so you don't run down a 100000 credit car to have to restore it for 500000. My personal choice is the R34 Nür 61k for car and 160k for upgrades.

The other option I use which is my preferred tactic for actually grinding a massive amount quickly vs a quick simple credit run.

Red Bull X Challenge, RB X2014 Strd. Chpn.
Race 5 Nürburgring GP/F
There are many reasons I prefer to use this race over LTW SSRX. One you don't have to buy or upgrade a car to run it. Two You aren't going in a straight line so
its less boring, mind you I used Less its still boring after a half hour. Three Time = Money and this race has not only a better payout (138k vs 70k for SSRX) but takes only slightly more time. (My Avg is 4:30 vs 3:45 on SSRX). The problem here is that is takes some talent to win every time, but once you learn the tricks its easy to ace this race.

Tips: I'm in it to win it, I don't want to challenge myself I want to win and quickly. So I run the following aids A/T ASM and SRF TCS at 5. You can and should change the tires to Racing Soft before you start, its free and in the driver options menu. You can also up the braking force in the RM menu once you start if you need to, but the settings will rarely stick and the RB won't lock its brakes up.

The thing to remember is the massive downforce in this thing, you can power around corners at full blast your instincts tell you to brake for. Run the course several times finding not your limits, but that of the car. Use the curbs and the paved off track areas, they are your friends, you can take corners wider and faster than the competition. The best places to off track for the advantage is the loop after the first hairpin at the start and the switchback at the end of the loop all have wide paved areas you can use to get ahead by going wide and fast. The grass before the final chicane can also be used at full speed, aim for the asphalt as you cut the grass and you'll come flying past anything in front of you, word of caution watch out for traffic coming from the chicane and time yourself or you'll just get tboned and end up father back then you were. The Esses after the second hairpin, can be blown through ontrack at full speed, don't doubt that. As I said all your instincts tell you to brake when the car is screaming hit the gas, listen to the car, not yourself (at first anyway). SAND IS NOT YOUR FRIEND, even one tire on the sand and you'll likely go sliding hopelessly off the track or spin losing valuable time.

Good luck out there GTP, See you on the track.
Mod: Forgive me, first post, move as you see fit.

This is good, but for more efficient grinding let me add some points:

For Like the Wind Race 3 the Mercedes Vision GT car is the cheapest option because it's a free car, best to use that if you have it.

Another option outside of the Red Bull Standards is the NASCAR at Motegi race - another free car here as well won for getting stars in the Career. Takes 3 minutes and a little bit about 3'15 and is less boring than Like the Wind, but if you don't like NASCAR then your other option is Red Bull again.

But not Nurburgring. Instead do Trial Mountain - takes about 3 minutes, fastest of all grinding races and it's possible to do it in under 3 minutes if you're good. A much easier race than the Nurb one although slightly less payout - but for time vs credits it's a better deal. Plus you don't need TC at all for the Red Bull races, or ASM - they both just slow you down, SRF speeds you up, as do Racing Softs, so use them if you want to make it easier.

These are my personal tactics, although i enjoy insights from others, I use ds3 and really don't feel like dealing with throttle control, just gimmie my credits and let me off at the next stop. So I use SRF and TC to limit my chances of spin and to speed recovery if I do spin.

Yeah I know, I did the Red Bull races with a DS3 as well, but if you use TC 5 it is too strong, 1 is plenty. Like I said it slows you down, but 1 will be enough to help you from spinning out on the throttle and also get a good start off the line.

But like I suggested try the Trial Mountain race - I beat that one first when I struggled with the rest.

For people who want money easily and fast, The X2014 Standard @ Trial Mountain is the way to go.

EDIT:
Also, use TCS 0. It gives you a better launch than when you use TCS on.

Im currently grinding the RB X standard championship, by winning all 5 races you get 2.2mil with 200% bonus in 20 min. And if you won the first 4 races you can skip the last race...
The races take 3 or 4 min max.
Im using racing soft tyres and no TC, but its important to use R soft tyres as the computer uses Rhard tyres

This is why the championship is better than individual race grinding. A 1 million credit bonus for the championship with 200% login plus 1.2-1.3 million for golding all races, along with weak AI & multiple course "shortcuts" makes it extremely easy to rack up close to 5 million credits per hour.

I'm considering reworking my op. But it just feels like too much to do on my phone.

My only real acess to the internets unfortunately.

If I'm just trying to raise a few hundred k, I usually do the RB Standard race at Silverstone, since it offers the most short cuts (turns 3 and 4, Becketts and Vale) if I'm too lazy to run a race for real. Here's a tip if you're trying to win the whole series: when cutting across turn 3 on the first lap, try to crash into the lead car and knock him out of the points for the one race. That way you can afford to lose two races and still gold the series (I'm still not terribly good with the RB's, and Apricot Hill and Fuji are not a sure thing for me).

I'll sometimes do the Like The Wind race at SSR7. I'll try many different cars to see which ones I can win it with and to keep it from getting totally boring. A good 30-45 minutes of that adds up pretty good.

I suck on those two. (Fuji, Hill) but I just like the gp/f race at the nurb. I don't know why. Yeah there are a ton of cuts at Silverstone, but I just can't stand it.

The most efficient way to earn credits in GT6 is without a doubt the red bull standard championship. You get 1 million credits (With 200% login bonus) for winning the championship. If your a good driver and can win each race you can start and then exit your least favourite race out of the 5 as you only need to win 4 to guarantee yourself 1st in championship. This equates to 2 million credits every 15-18 minutes depending on which 4 of the 5 races you choose.

Red Bull races do pay very well, but I'd have to say that the Brands Hatch race is my favourite. I race it as I enjoy it so I don't think of it as grinding for credits, but if this is your bag then it only takes a little over 3 mins to complete. Also you don't have to brake much or at all for some of the corners and you can win the race by around 20-30 seconds.

Everyday I race RB Standard in Trial Mountain for minimum of 2hrs sometimes I do 4hrs. Now I only have 4 manufacturers left in Japan to clear, I haven't touch European and American cars yet and I bought all Le Mans cars and I have about 10 Touring cars left to buy. I'm also trying to buy all colors. Yeah I bought 28 LFAs just for colors.
