Hi Guys,

One question people ask a lot is "Which race should be ran to earn the most credits when I can only access a specific race?". Well, hopefully with your help this spreadsheet will answer that question...

ToDo:

  • Credit rewards for each race. (They can be found when you enter each race on the first screen after loading the course). Enter this on the "Credits" sheet. This sheet will be locked when complete.
  • XP rewards for each race/series. Enter them on the "Experience" sheet.
  • Your course completion times. Create yourself a new column on the "Times". This is now your column to put your times in.

Complete:

  • I need to know which courses are used for Expert onwards. Since I am not a high enough level yet to see all races I cannot see which courses have what. I also need to know which ones have series races on (championships), the first one I know of is the Clubman Cup in Amateur.
  • I will add B-Spec later when I have everything I need from the first item on this list!

Warnings:

  • Don't be scared by the errors on the main sheet. They will disappear as times are added.
  • Do NOT post times for cars that typically would not be raced in them races. For example the Formula GT used in the Clubman Cup. If your not sure what car to use look at the "Typical Opponents" window in game.
  • The credits will become more acurate the more people submit their times. Obviously the calculation will not be 100% since the spreadsheet doesn't take into account loading screens etc.
  • I still need to complete the formulas for the "Main" sheet. I need to manually input the calculations as the spreadsheet cocks up when I try to get it to generate them for me. This sheet is locked for my use only and will be updated. I first wanted to make sure this sheet works correctly before I start typing in everything by hand.

Click on the tabs at the bottom to change sheets.
Even adding one time will help! If you don't want to put your name down use 'Anonymous'.

Thoughts, ideas, pointless, maybe do the same for XP?

i made a similar spreadsheet, automatically computing for credits/min and xp/min based on the times you put in it.

it's in my sig.. check it.

  • So in other words, don't post the X1 in races as it just blows away everything, lol. On my 24hr Le Mans race, it was some 146 laps ahead of the next car.

Good work OP, thanks for the effort.

Nice, although its missing data. I guess your still filling in as you go along?
The timing data is the hardest part to obtain which I guess is why I am asking for others input.

Actually the spreadsheet should handle people posting times that are out of the ordinary since it bases calculations on median averages :)

Schwarzwald League B at the Nordschlife will get you 354,000 per hour. You earn 59k per race, figure an average lap time of 7:30 or so, with a few minutes built in for the loading and reloading of the track and you get 354k.

well, i intentionally left the professional (and below) races blank as i thought grinding is not needed that early in the game. and it's not as good the top ones either so effort is moot. on another note, it's also a list that anyone can edit with their own times and cars.

the figures in it are for B-Spec btw. "completion times" are race times (elapsed time to complete the race), excluding load times and what not. plus I also included "management", to take note of races which you can take AFK or requires heavy monitoring from players.

That's the point of these calculations. Some people don't have access to those sort of circuits yet.
Example: If I need to grand some credits to buy some second hand 90's Japanese car in the Amateur races I need to know which courses I do have access to to earn the most credits.

I know this doesn't help a great deal for lower levels,
but this is the one to aim for if you want a good quick earner.

A-Spec Extreme
Indy Super Speedway (First race)

98,000 for 1st place.

Using a maxed Corvette ZR-1 RM you can run a lap in 43 seconds.
Winning the race in about 4 minutes.

ONE hours grind = JUST OVER 1,000,000cr

I was doing that last night between B Spec endurance runs. Easy money.

I like it. I'd like to see B-Spec added to it.

I will add B-Spec and looking at it I could add XP to it too. I just need someone to tell me what courses are on Expert onwards. But yes B-Spec will be most useful when we can control Bob over HTTP!

I'm having a bit of a problem. First, the "Main" tab is locked and there is currently no formulas for the Expert or Extreme races.
Second, the Expert and Extreme only have the cup names, not the individual races.
On the credits tab I added another row for the Turbo race, but then thought I should hold off until everything gets straightened out with the main tab so that there are matching rows for the tabs.

Yes, as I said in the first post I need someone to tell me the courses available for them races as I do not currently have them (Im LVL 12). When I have them I will add the fields for them.

The first sheet doesn't need editing as I just need to add the calculations. They show up with errors as when you look at the "Times" sheet you will see there are no times for the sheet to calculate. It cannot calculate if there is nothing for it to calculate :)

Mainly to get this sheet finished I need to know the track names. I can then add B-Spec. After that I need people to add what credits are awarded for each course. After that simply adding times to it will get the sheet working.

Can anyone tell me anything about the below? Track listings and also if they are part of a championship?

Tuning Car Grand Prix
Schwarzwald League A
Historic Racing Car Cup
MR Sports Cup

Nope that would only work if a lot of people posted times with much slower cars too - not very likely :)

I don't think he is looking for an average of all the cars in GT5, but rather the average of the cars that people are using most often for a given course.

The idea is to get an average for each course. If your just starting out and need to some credits to buy a car for the FF Challenge etc this sheet might give you an idea which track to be grinding to get the most credits in the shortest possible time.

Thanks for the track listing above BKViper.

The championship race at the end of the expert series 3 races approximately 30k for each plus 90 k for winningg the series? But once you have gold can you really win the tournament prize again? If so it's better than doing the Schwartzworld hussle.

Are you still working on the formulas?
I don't want to be pointing out problem I have found if you are still in the mid of development for the main sheet.

If you are done, then I found that B-Spec - Expert - Poly Cup Madrid is pointing to the wrong cell references.

Yeah I notice they are mis-aligned now. It's because the sheet I read had two tracks listed for British Lightweight, then I found out there are four tracks. It's made everything below it wrong.

I'm working on it now.

I'm temporarily going to change the sheets to read only while I fixed the records which are miss aligned. There's a few I need to check :(

When I get the records in the right place an estimate to completion is based on how many people submit their times :)

Once you get the formulas sorted out I would have thought doing one for XP would be pretty easy, just make a copy and change the titles from credits to xp, no?

Fixed now.

Yeah, ill look at adding XP in here now. Was planning all day on attempting to fill some more times, not touched the game yet :)

Suggestion: On the "Times" sheet make the cell for the "Championship" levels calculate based on the sum of the individual races in the series, rather than being typed in.

Ok, if there's a list of the bonus credit/XP you get for running the Championships I can do this easily. Any one know if such a list exists?
