Are there general rules on how to mod tunes when they are set up with more power to weight, or different compound tires? Do other suspensions settings get altered when there's less power?

I'm looking at tuning a gallardo at 550pp, and all the tunes I've looked at from here* have so far either had 7XX bhp, and or racing compounds, but what I want to do is use one of my trusted tuners, tunes, then modify it so it will be compatible with Sports Soft tires and ~500bhp instead of ~700bhp.

I could probably just try a 7XXbhp tune, but I did that with my Murcielago, and it took so many different tunes til finally I found one that was amazing for my driving style, so if there are general rules, that'd be good.

(If this is already somewhere my apologies, would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.)

There's not much you can do apart from apply the 700+ bhp tune to your 550pp Gallardo, drive it and tweak settings until you like it.

If you're willing to wait, I'm planning on releasing a 550pp Gallardo tune though. :sly:

Legend! that'd be awesome, yeah thats my alternative, request the tune I guess :D

Not sure if I can plug other people's tunes, but so far the base tune from RKM was really good, it worked with my virtually stock gallardo very well, but still a more precise tune will be great to have

If you make a car heavier you may want to make some of these changes: slightly higher ride height, higher bound settings, higher spring rates, more camber, higher anti roll.

If you reduce a cars horsepower you may want to lower LSD settings (if it had values over 20 to start with) and adjust gear ratios.

Often no changes to setup are necessary with a change of tire grade.

Really? Ok that's good news I've often avoided tunes entirely because they weren't the tyre selection I was using, and the game says that different compounds should change the spring stiffness so I thought it's apply to most tunes as a ratio
