Yes! This would be great. I'm showing my age here, but I used to love cruising around in NFS2SE - dash view, manual transmission and carefully picking my moment to make overtakes through the traffic. Nice to know that even now I have "grown up", nothing has changed!

Those were the times. TNFSSE and NFS2SE were amazing! Nothing has changed, just are older and have better toys now. (there must be some advantage on getting old!)

I loved doing some cruise in GT5, sometimes I find it more entertaining than race or even drifting, is a completely diferentt way to play this game, and the choice of cars you have makes possible for us to drive for hours and wothout getting bored, and then the cars itself make this really nice, since giving some use to the slow cars to use some nice sounding supercars such as the LFA that I used a lot, or even just to show our cars paint, wheels, etc. It really feels nice in Sarthe driving just in one side of the road, overtaking some other players just for fun. Go to the big straight and revving the car 1 or 2 shifts and then slow down to the speed limit. The 1st time I get in a cruise room I was like "What the hell are they doing here?" but when I tried... it was just awesome the freedom you have.
The rooms with cops are nice too, but only if the "cops" are good and the other drivers respect everyone, with cops you feel like in real life, you can't just go there and go 300+ kmh, and I liked that "ticket system 0/3 tickets".
Most of the people don't enjoy cruising just because the first time they tried it was just a room where they have X1, LMPs, F1s everywhere, so they didn't get a chance to enjoy the cruise...
Hope that with the corse maker we will be able to make better tracks, more "cruisable" ones. Well I tell you something, if there is going to be any kind of cruising group/room or whatever count me in.
Cars that I'm looking to cruise with:
-My GT5 favourites (458, LFA, stock GT-R with sport exhaust, SLS, Pagani C12S/7.3, basically almost every supercar available...
-Classics, they are made for cruising more than racing, since classic muscle cars, tu classic sports cars like both ferrari 250s (GTO and GT), the 365, Dino, so on...
-Of course, supercars, old and recent models.
-And the new muscle cars such as both Mustangs and the Charger, along with the Camaro SS and Challenger, last models.

PD should implement a bakery so you can pull over and get a baguette :dopey:
If more cheesy jokes are needed just let me know.
This place is modeled in the Ronda map:cheers: High end ham, cheese and wine...can't go wrong with that...

I really dont want to use a standard in this game if I can help it. This is why I'll be using the new for GT6, classic cars. On the other hand, if the previous standard cars can look as good as the Premium 2005 Prototype R35 GT-R AND if the KW Suspension can lower a car to -40mm or close enough, I'll grab me a '73 Kenmeri on some 9" wide tires and meet you all out there.

Cruising in GT6, yeah. I seriously cannot wait for it - I've been mainly cruising the past year in GT5 and met a couple of great fellow cruisers.

A couple things I noticed in the majority of these lobbies:
• cop rooms easily get out of control, most of the time these "cops" are rather annoying than helping
• people tend to tailgate and speed whenever there is a longer straight
• drifting in a labeled cruise room - really?
• SSR7 is a track that nobody really knows how to cruise on, mostly speeders on here (eventhough it's a brilliant track)

These are just a few things I saw in recent rooms. We've built a small community of cruisers (approx. 40-50) and have a FB-page for sharing recorded cruises and thoughts.

Our main rules are:
• no cops, instant kicking for rule-breakers
• post the speedlimit and the desired side of the road every once in a while (for instance London & Tokyo left side; Madrid & Sarthe right side)
• no tailgating, speeding, ramming, burnouts, drifting etc.
• respect the roadmarkings
• be friendly and give way to others when their lanes end or new lanes appear from another side
• road cars only

These are the main ones, just a pity that we won't have a bigger lobbies in GT6. :(

I like your rules and I would like to know your facebook page :)

Other than those, I just like some speeding sometimes. Of course, it's what you would do in a normal road, not road rage. The whole Sarthe straight @ 100kmh it's a bit boring. But specialy at Sarthe, I stop at the barriers in the straight (chicanes) as if they were tollbooths, stop for some seconds, then go again. :)

The way I picture my own room would be similar to a Top Gear road trip or test...when they take out 3 different cars and drive. So for the most part, cruising, but aloud to hit the gas once in awhile, or take a corner hard. I dont think I could bare to obey the speed limit 100% of the time. I already do that on a daily basis...for the most part :p.

I live on the coast. So when im driving I see water and sunsets in the evening. We need a coastal road or circuit. If Phillip Island were in the game, we'd have the only track like this. It may be a closed circuit but, its nice and smooth for cruising too. And too bad I cant use my navigation and SD card in my car to use the GPS for the game. I live across the street from the ocean.

Absolutely right, that's why we set different speed limits for this track (70MPH except for the straight where you're allowed to go 100 or 130MPH) - you should consider them as limits though which means there might be much slower going cars on the road.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here, but our group on facebook is: www.facebook.com/GTCruising.
At the moment we're not cruising as much as before, but we're planning to have more clean and relaxed cruises in the future (GT6).

Edit: I might consider having a thread in the Club & Leagues for this, though I'm not really sure yet due to the fact that our lobbies are almost always filled with friends and others keep requesting to join the full rooms (just annoys me that we can't have more than 16 cruisers in a room in GT6).

Liked your page and will take a look at your videos. You guys seem really serious about it and I like that! :)

Hope to cruise with you sometime in GT6 :)

Now this is something I may find to be quite enjoyable. I just need to have an operation now to get some of the lead removed from my right foot

Think sometime after thanksgiving, I'll give this cruising thing ago.

Now this is something I may find to be quite enjoyable. I just need to have an operation now to get some of the lead removed from my right foot

Where did the lead come from?

Always felt this is a get away from the foot down, hard G cornering without actually leaving my seat. But finding a decent room was always hard. Always a good way to check out the others rides to and with GT6 having many more mods and a store for coloirs and gear. Would be even more interesting to play and display.

This is one reason i always was for free rom streets to just drive around.

Last night I did a bit of epic cruising with Mr. @timbomat1 and his nice chaps.

Really good cruisers, it was short but I had a blast. Tokyo R246, checking other rides, stoping at red lights... can't wait to do this with GT6 new stuff. :)

I guess I'm missing something here. You guys just drive slow and check out each others cars? Isn't that guys Rx-7 just like your Rx-7 but maybe with a different color you probably have and maybe not a wing on it? Stopping at lights? Do you guys even push your cars a little? I'm just really confused by this. It's probably just not my cup of tea, but I'm still interested in what it really is.

In the case of Route 246, just drive like you would in the city! If you take a look at this particular map, you'll notice the lanes, some red/green lights, etc... you gotta drive with us sometimes to get the idea if it's not that clear. :)

Basically:

- Respect the lanes
- Respect the speed limit

But you don't need to only drive slow, we push our cars sometimes, of course. Just do with care as if you were in your city. And the speed limits are not stupid, in La Sarthe, we have a speed limit of 80mph/130kmh but in the straights it's fine to speed up (usually 120mph is fine)... like I said, just drive carefully and enjoy the surroundings, the noises, the buddies driving around with you.

Oh, trust me; the first thing I'll do is get a BMW Z8 and cruise in one of the new tracks with time and weather change.

...Or just go to the Nurburgring 24H circuit

Matterhorn will be the one for the Z8! That bigger version :)
