Yeah I dont play it too much. Mainly off playing DOD:S. I've been playing it alittle more lately but not too much more. 
I almost got into CAL but had to back out from the team I was going to join due to work.
When I play CS:S I usually play on the Rowdy Guns server. Good people on there.

Well yeah i'm a ex cal-m and cal-o player... I just left my cal-o team. I'm not in search for a cal-m or maybe if i get lucky, a cal-i team. I've been playing cs for 4 1/2 years now. I can own with pretty much anything. I was just done with a scrim with a few of my friends from source. We played a cal-m team. final score, 25/5 we owned.

I first got into CS: Source about a month ago, really enjoying it. It's real intense and it looks gorgeous. At the moment I pretty much suck but I'm definitely improving.

If you want to work on the aiming aspects or just trying out guns, try the XPGaming server for Zombies. Though they pose no real threat (in small numbers), they make for good practice at moving targets with the CS:S guns.El Gigante
I normally don't snipe, but practicing on zombies has helped.

A few other thing guys that don't know the fine details.
Look for 100tic servers. 33 and 45 tics are not gonna have great shot registry. 66 tics are the next best thing to 100 tic.
And you can have a ultra small cross hair. Press your console butten (~) if you have enabled it in the advance control options. If you havnt just go there. Then type in cl_crosshairscale 3000 thats what I use. It workds great for me.
You can also make, or download cfg's to maximize your game. But it will minimize your game quality.

THen you havnt been in cal. With an AWP is a key tool to sucess. Learn to use an AWP and you can wall CT's going to bombsite B when your a Terroists. And if you get good, you can hit them every time.TVR&Ferrari_Fan
TVR: As much as a AWP will seem to kill people, it's quite easy to kill them. You just need to be patient, learn some strats, know how to fool them etc.. Trust me, i've played cal before, and i just got back from a scrim a few minutes ago. When you have a AWP you must do anything you can to pick a person off. AWP's are also very good for covering fire.
Example from are scrim: @ de_nuke (since it's the next cal map) I baught an AWP 1 round, wile my team went ramp to go down to B, I took a right to (outside) and was able to pick off 1 AWPer, and a guy trying to flank us. Not only did that help us suceed in that round, it helped us win the match. 16-14.
I've been playing source for a long time, and i've seen some crazy players out there that can do some crazy **** with the AWP. Pro players like Paradox can put out crazy ****. No hacks either.
If you ever watch a cev0 player you will understand what eachweapons point is. Cal is just the small game. I can gurentee any cev0 player can rape a Cal-Invite player. And even then Cal-I is crazy stuff.
AWP's may seem gay, but thats because most of you guys are only wee pubbers. I might sugest watching me and my clan in a scrim sometime. Just X-fire me, and i'll see if the place we gonna be scriming at has Source-TV.
Anyways if you guys have other questions about these things. I'll be happy to awnser, or other CAL players here. Or maybe TWL, but thats a little different.

Zombies eh? I'll have to check that out. I had a killer session tonight btw, got 9 kills in one game! Lol. I'm pretty good with the guns now, I would definitely say I'm competent with the Rifles at least. I guess the only problem with CS is that no matter how good you think you are, there's always someone who's ten times better than you

Then that would result in a never ending amount of players. Once you get up into cev0 it looks like there are pretty even. Why are you all so obsessed with CS:S? CS 1.6 and CZ are still better IMO. It takes more skill to kill. CS:S is just all about spray and pray. CS 1.5 was the bee's knees though.

Yeah I heard there are a lot of people don't like CS: Source and prefer to stick with the original CS. Personally, I never played the original CS and I like CS: Source just fine so I'm gonna stick with it

I find 1.6 easier.... I played 1.6 waaaay before source was out. And I can own in both just fine... Maybe it's just some players mad cause there comp sucks major face and can't play source, and they made the rumor. But if your soo good, once my clan gets a server 1v1?MachOne

Master_Yoda...I think you need to go outside. No offense but, all it ever seems like you talk about is Counter-Strike, "owning" people (which became illegal A LONG time ago), and you always use 1337sp33k. Am I the only one that notices this?

Honestly, what is up your arse mate? You come into a thread DISCUSSING A COUNTER STRIKE COMPETITION, proceed to talk about how noobish CSS is ("spray and pray") and then try and tell someone else who plays cs to go outside? Clearly a comment like that is not appreciated and needed in a thread about computer games, obviously we all go outside and you're little smart arse comments do nothing to help the thread. I've never seen Master Yoda use excessive 'leet speak' and his sentences are constructed well enough for them to be read.
Seriously, can you just shut up and stop trolling? You should be banned permanently from here, all you ever do is make negative comments and deconstruct good threads.

Well dodge it may be longer then you may think. Ok, since i have nother better to do, i'll tell a little story
Well it was a hot night here in California (typical summer weather) and all the sudden, i was struke with BOREDISM! So, I do what any source player does when he is bored, turn on a aimbut, and mess around on a deathmatch server. Well usually, I don't hack, I hate it, but I get the erdge to piss people off somtimes, so I proceded to have fun. After a night of fun, i went to bed. Well yesterday, when my clan was going to do a scrim, I said yes and went to the server.
I was connecting and stuff... and I got a message from Valve's VAC program (Valve Anti Cheat) that I have been banned from VAC servers. Well turns out I was using a out dated aimbot >.< got I felt dumb. Well now i need to buy a new source for a new account. But theres a problem, I HAVE NO MONEY! Now i'm going to need to buy it.
