So remember that RSX involved in the hit and run that was caught and solved by a Canadian car enthusiast site? Well the same cartectives, yes those are car detectives, were informed that a local Skyline GT-R was stolen. In a matter of hours, members of www.forums.beyond.ca had photos of the kid driving the stolen car, his full name and his home and work addresses. They finally caught the car parked infront of the house so they blocked it off and cops were there to deal out the real cards to the jive turkey who snaked the car.

GO INTERNET!

I found this thread on jdmcivic.com earlier today, contemplated whether or not I should post it here.

But yea, that guy got owned. Badly.

EXIT: Apparently the guy got it so muddy to cover the plates up, without actually taking them off.

I know Calgary is dusty, but how did it get so much mud on it? Were they 4-wheeling with it or something? My god. Dirty.

Yeah, he took it to the dirt and probably did a bunch of donuts and got the entire car covered in mud and dirt. Like a total moron, he then washed everything except the back.

Because it makes perfect sense to put on a different license plate and cover it and the back with dirt while leaving the gray paintjob and unique silver and black wheels perfectly clean and exposed.

I think the fact that it was found was even worse than having it stolen in the first place...

Of course, the thief is clearly not the kind of person who should drive a Skyline to start.
