Just an FYI for anyone interested. They've been out of stock for awhile, I checked this morning and they are showing available.

Wanted to get some thoughts on this too - If I buy one w/Pedals and the racing stand, it's about $820 - does anyone think they'll be bundling the wheel/pedals anytime soon? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy it?

If you wait too long, they might even be out of stock AGAIN.

When the CSW production finally begins, all resources will probably be needed for the production of the CSW. This could lead to another backorder situation for the CSR Elite.

If want it, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

I don't know if that'll be soon, that they will have to slow down CSR E production for the CsW production. It's so silent when it comes to the CSW that I wonder if that thing will be released before Christmas. We are now stuck for a month on Round 1 and Round 2 won't begin unless Thomas has picked all the CSMs and he kicks that Round off. So it might be a while still. Maybe the first reviews will come out when everyone is on summer holiday. Although how many reviewers will have the time to review a product then?

Anyway to everyone longing for a CSR E, get them while they are hot. People are still lining up for them and even though the CSW might be off that doesn't mean that the new batch of CSR E wheels will be ready when these are sold out.

Seems like the wait for the CSW takes for ever. Fanatec is known for delaying release dates.

I can still remember the doubt i had last year: Should i go for the CSR Elite or wait an other month for the CSW.

Glad i decided to go for the CSR Elite. By the time the CSW comes out, i will have the budget again to buy it.

Dude, hope I've caught you in time, you can get a T500RS for $470-$480 bucks, I can give you the link if you want, it's in the US. No Gear shifter, but meh.

FYI: In the USA shop, it now says Pre-Order ONLY. Next Shipment arrives in MAY. Looks like your window expired already

I am sure there are people out there who are still in that debate even know.
Even back in last year October I had about the same decision. Will I go for a CSW which might be just around the corner and stick with my G25 a bit longer, or do I grab the T500. I am glad I did the latter although I should have waited for the CSR E maybe. In any case I have since then enjoyed my wheel and due to the fact that I borrowed my G25 to my dad and gave him a copy of GT5, I had lots of fun with family and friends in return.

Morale of the story. Waiting can be profitable but you could be missing out on some good time using the stuff you buy today.

Demand for the CSRE is still so strong that we cannot keep up with production. The supply will probably last only a few days and it will take sevaeral weeks to get more units in I am afraid.

That's good news for Fanatec Thomas.

Since you're online, how about a little scoop / update on the CSW.

I've read the reviews for both, and my mind is made up, regardless of the cost. I agree, the T500RS is a great wheel, and would indeed be a huge upgrade from my current DFGT, but I know if I settle for anything other than the CSR-E, I'll be just a little disappointed.

Why does awesome stuff always have to be so darned expensive? :D

Nope? Presumably your referring to g27 comparability? Afaik that is working on most csr e's.

I am not surprised. It's a great wheel.

Keep going Thomas. Your company is making great products for the sim racing community.

I also not suprised between the ones they sell and the ones they have to replace the stock runs out pretty quickly

So get them while they are hot... 2 for the price of 1...

Supposed to be here March 22nd - can't wait. I'm so used to the DFGT, it will be interesting to see how big a jump this is for me. My main issues with the DFGT are braking without ABS, its very difficult to tell where the lockup point is.

I know there are already reviews out on this, but I'll make one for anyone on the fence in how it compares to the DFGT including pedals, and how it works on the Fanatec wheelstand. That's my only concern - I don't like any movement in the wheel, so I was debating about making another cockpit specifically for the CSR-E, or make my girlfriend happy and have something I can put away easily - figured it was worth the shot, so hopefully it fits my needs.

Thanks for shipping so quickly, Fanatec.

Yeh I use a dfgt normally... This is a massive step forward! The wheel is great and I am actually able to use gt5 without abs (using car pedals)

Well, its not like it's junk, the T500RS was simply better value. I'm sure it'll be a great wheel, certainly on par with a G27 from the reviews I've read. Tell us what its like when it arrives.

Tell me you're not saying the CSR-E is "on par" with the G27? It's not even in the same building, and is priced accordingly.

As I already stated , I'm sure the T500RS is a great wheel (where did I say it was junk??), but the lack of a factory load cell brake option put it off my list immediately, regardless of how good the FFB might be (which the CSR-E is supposedly superior in this aspect as well). I didn't want to drop $500 only to upgrade again in a year; I want to be one and done, as it were.

Gotta pay to play; @ $500 the T500RS is a good value, but from the reviews I have read, the CSR-E is worth the extra $200 with the CSR-E pedals.
