I drag raced a cuda last night w/ my superbird and they always end up beating me near the end of the 1/4. My superbird has 799hp, how much does a tuned cuda have?

825, but in general a well tuned cuda will outrun a well tuned superbird

Difference is like 2 tenths Cuda faster!!!
So like weRmany00 said a Cuda is faster than a well tunes Superbird

Hmm that sucks cause I love the look of the superbird but I can't beat a cuda with it.

The only classic muscle that can outrun a tuned Cuda, besides the '66 Cobras, is the '70 Challenger RM. They run almost identical times, but the launch will make it impossible for a cuda to catch you on the shorter track. Superbirds & Superbees are doomed for the 10sec drags.

Pretty much this. I've seen some superbirds and superbees in the 9.9 range but they are few and far between.

For the average tuner I would say a 9.9 sec cuda is very obtainable. Play with it a bit and as you see 9.7. For a "pro" tuner, 9.8-9.9 sec is tops for the superbee/superbird.

I say don't give up on trying to build the bird however. They are loads of fun IMO

Exactly this. Perfectly tuned they identical despite both having odd powerbands. The Cuda is harder to tune though because of the odd powerband.

If you can get a Bird tuned good, it will beat most that you come across of both cars.

Ive went against really good tuned birds but it was no match for my Cuda cuz of the pull i have

How many miles on it? If its over 10,000 or so you may be missing 2 or 3 hp
