How is that setup working in a CurryWurst lobby? I thought 1cv = 0.7355kw so 300cv = 220kw and 1323kg seems v heavy…??
Sorry, I added the wrong set up.. The 300hp (220kw) and 1300kg configuration is a set up that I'm trying to have a car closer to reality, I like it even if I think perfection would be to use medium sports tires. The second curve of the track, is hardly done flat in reality..

Hi CurryVWursters, I really love your lobbies!
Nice to meet your community, I'm much slower than most of you, but I'm working hard! See you in game :)
Hi @McLebbra, welcome!
As with all things, patience and practice are key. I only started relearning the ‘Ring 6 months ago (after a 17 year break), and ‘Wursting’ about 3 months ago. I’m very average, but have gone from around 7:40 a lap, to around 7:30 in that time. Still nowhere near the front of the pack, I’ve seen some of these guys lap as low as 7:15, 😲, but trying to improve my lines, racecraft and car setups, for this uniquely challenging circuit, is what makes it so much fun!
Everyone is very welcoming and helpful, so if you need any advice just ask.
See you on the ‘schleife’!

Yeah! Sometimes I hit a 7:30 but I'm unstable and still make a lot of mistakes...in lobbies I feel the car a little different from time trial, is it just a feeling? See you! ;)

Yeah, frustrating isn’t it? I can do 7:23 in offline Time Trial, but can’t get anywhere near that in lobbies.
It’s clear offline Time Trial laps are faster on all tracks, but no one I’ve spoken to knows why?!? 🤷‍♂️

To all (new) CurryVWurst-Lovers:
The most important thing in these lobbys is, that you have to respect the other drivers, no matter how fast or slow they are.
Everything else comes after that!!! you will get your chance to show how fast you are!

I have to write this because there are many new guys who drive with the knife between their teeth, but we don’t need any more max verstappens!

I have noticed this a little lately. What drew me to the CurryVWurst lobbies, was that winning isn’t important. Driving clean and having respect for others is what stood out. We all make mistakes sometimes, but too often, some are too keen to make a pass that’s not on, desperate to gain places, which leads to unnecessary and avoidable contact.

One very good technique I was taught: When approaching a corner close behind another vehicle, is to release the throttle a couple of seconds early and coast to your normal braking point, to allow a small gap to open to the car ahead, thus avoiding contact as you both brake.

The lobby settings have the tire consumption, probably in time trial the tires always remain at 100%

the tyreswear could be a factor, but not 6s at the first lap with new softs.
I think there are online different condition of tracksurface, like the weather (rain) is online also very different than offline.
maybe its all about the amount of weatherconditions.
tracktemp???

As @fisherstom said, Custom Race is much similar than Time Trial. Days ago I joined @kito16 's room with 30L gasoline instead of 100, and it felt different!

thats what we talk about. offline custom race is only similar to a online lobby, but not the same! offline provides a little bit more grip. no matter what amount of fuel you set.

This is one thing that I’ve noticed in most lobbies, not just CurryVWurst ones, and don’t understand, why setup races with default (100L) of fuel on board? It’s highly unusual for any road car to have tanks that big, only Endurance race cars. For authenticity, starting with enough fuel to complete a race, +1 lap, would be much more realistic.
On the rare occasions I have hosted CurryVWurst lobbies, for consistency I’ve stuck with the settings I’ve copied, so default fuel, but for others I usually opt for 20-30L.

Because of the full tank, it is sometimes that we increase the CurryVWurst lobby to 2 rounds.

At the weekend I noticed again that some new passengers do not come to the lobby prepared (not bad), but with mostly 16 drivers it would be nice if they come with a vehicle that meets the lobby requirements. That is, the highest possible output and 570 PP. Since they usually realize after the start that their car does not have enough power and then leave the lobby.
One more thing about fairness: As Akers writes, it is important to remain fair and have respect for slower drivers.
Unfortunately, I had to remove some drivers from the lobby again at the weekend because they overtook unfairly.
I usually only ride in the back, but the complaints always reach me. Most of the time the drivers are admonished, but for some it just doesn't help.

If you catch up with a group (traffic jam), you should line up at the back and only try to overtake if no one is endangered.
Thank you for your understanding

In consultation with the community, the first three places are now usually placed at the end of the starting field
