Since I get several inquiries if the 570pp 200kw lobby still exists, I can reassure you. It will continue to exist.
We have opened a 595pp 230 KW 1300kg lobby to be able to use cars that cannot be throttled to 230 kw. So far, the new lobby has been very well received, with the new cars available
Both lobbies are partially open in parallel.
But on Thursday, December 4th, the new update Spec III will be released, so the driving physics will probably be changed again.
Therefore, it may be possible that the lobbies may have to be adjusted a bit. Let's wait and see
I've joined the '595' lobbies a couple of times, but so far I still prefer '570'. This is probably because it takes me quite a while to tune and optimise vehicles, so making cars competitive takes time, something I currently I don't have a lot of spare.
Also, many of the cars I've built for 570 can't easily be retuned to 595, as the weight difference of 170kg means I can't add enough ballast to use them, requiring new cars to be purchased, which is a shame.
I have been trying to develop a similar standard (Codename: SpicySausage 😁) in order to competitively race 'Supercars', such as Ferraris, Lambo's, Astons, Porsches, McLarens, RUFs etc, along with other high end models from mainstream manufacturers, Ford GTs, Audi R8s, Honda NSXs etc, at close to their stock specs, using only ballast and power restriction to even them out. I'm currently testing at 665PP, 1350kg minimum weight and SS tyres, but an unrestricted power limit, as weight and power vary quite a lot.
I know from experience racing in 650PP Ring lobbies, and others, that this wouldn't work well for an 'Open' category, as some 'regular' cars can be, tuned to such an extent they they thrash 'Supercars', but it could be fun for a limited selection of high-value vehicles.
Early days in terms of testing, but it might make a fun 'CurryVWurst Special-Event' some time in the future...
I'll be interested to see what the "Improvements to online races" listed in the Spec III press release will include.
I'm hoping for perhaps some additional tools for equalising performance, such as a Power-to-weight Ratio limit option, and/or weight and power range options rather than just limits. Only 1 more day to wait!
