Unless you couls customise the whole paint scheme then yes it would be useless, all we need is for the computer to assigne a different number to each car, so when your race your car gets it's usual number replaced by 1-6.

so your saying if there were three people racing

there overall rank is:
joe: 10,000
frank: 9,000
tom: 8,500

so in the race there numbers would be:
joe: 3
frank: 2
tom: 1

and they will have a number on the doors of the car. it would be a esy way to see who is the fastest racer in the race.
 
No don't use rank as your number. Just have the computer randomly give each car a different number of 1 - 6. They should replace the standard numbers the cars use in offline play.

Edit actually I've just noticed how thats been worked out and that lastidea would also work.
 
yeh but theres no point in that at all you dont know who the person is because the number is random and it will change and if its random you cant tell if they are good or not
 
You can tell by their username, all you need the numbers for is incase 2 or more people enter a race with the same car in the same colour. I'm sure you'll see info like players rank before the race starts.
 
Where I race online you tell the guys who are in the clans by their names, as is true with any online game

yeh i know that but it would be good to have a team paint and sticker sheme for your car. just like in real racing with the f1 they have two cars for a team and they have the same colour so you know what team there from.

how would it be if every f1 car was black and had white text on the side saying ferrari or BAR. it wouldent be indervidual and people would have trouble telling the diff between the cars.
 
I think if anyone knows about custom teams, it would have to be the tuner car crowd. For example: Autobacs has that reddish-orange color on their cars, Signal Auto has that nice orange color kind of perfect for Fall/Autumn colors, and who can ever forget the hot pink Yashio Factory machines? In terms of real race cars (not bashing tuners), you have the lovely silver colors for Mercedes-Benz, the white and aquamarine colors of Konrad Motorsport (or is it "Konrod?"), the former sky blue colors of The Racer's Group Porsches (you can paint up Ruf RGTs and make your own racer), and even the red and white of Holden Racing Team (HRT). The game "Ridge Racer V" has a special paint scheme featuring three different colors and an fourth alternative color. So you basically have your race team with the six Standard and six Extra cars.

Personally, I'd love to make my own team colors. I won't talk about my "team colors," so I'll leave it at that.
 
I have a serious question. Why don't you people actually post whether or not your thread subjects are questions or news. Because when you all setup the threads that sound like statements, it makes people like me dive into here under the impression that some recent news has been revealed. Instead of posting up subjects like, "custimisable stickers for team cars ", how about posting up what you actually MEAN, such as, "Are there custimisable stickers for team cars?"

It's really ****in' annoying and not only is it misleading, but inevitably has me waste my time as well. So people, please stop doing the dumb crap already and get with the program!!
 
it would help also if i was asking a question!! for me to put a question at the name of the thread that would be misleading again.
 
I don't think they will let you have custom stickers for clans/teams..

maybe you will be able to get 3 clan letters to represent your clan on the side of your car.

or when playing a team/clan race.. 2 vs 2 vs 2 ...or 3 vs 3
each team will be giving a specified colour when racing.
e.g. team 1 all cars blue, team 2 all cars orange, team 3 all cars red.
