Custom BGM Online

Apologies if it has been asked, but why can you only listen to your personal BGM when the voice is disabled? I do not see how it interferes with the personal BGM. It doesn't hurt the default music. I have kept thinking about this question and I have finally asked it. How does voice chat interfere with your personal music?

I think it's something along the lines of lag. Can't remember exactly but the game Tekken will warn you about using personal bgm online causing issues.

Anyway, Personal BGM seems to cause people a lot of problems in general. It's possible it would be completely messed up if it's working at the same time as mics.

Anyhow, I'm a firm believer in... use another device to play music while you race anyhow, let the ps3 & the game put a priority on actually running the game - since it seems almost too much for it a lot of the time as it is.

I thought it had something to do with noise canceling. They can cancel out the music they know to prevent it from going though mics. They don't know Abba, ELO, Supertramp, or Skinny Puppy.

Anyway, I've always hosted rooms with no mics. I have also always used custom BGM. I have never had a problem with it.
