Custom Music Issue

I have loaded my own playlist, and it plays fine, and a new song is played with each race? Sounds perfect, right? Only one problem - the one song stays stuck on repeat the whole race. Is there a setting I missed? A setting I turned on by mistake? Thanks for the help.

You can ask it to repeat a folder, but I stopped using my own playlist as it causes the game to freeze sometimes :ill:
 
There are 2 ways to set up the music. I first had the same problem as you but when I went to the music icon and set the options from there it worked the way I expected playing random songs from the list or starting at a random location and when the song was done it would play a different one.

I stopped using it as well and just use my pc to play music if I want to hear it while racing as it gives me much more control over it.
 
That's ok Music is typically in stereo rather than surround sound. I also have a great pair of Altec Lansing PC speakers that will bring the house down :)

Noob Q but you can have it play your own music or just the playlist off GT itself?

Yea you can add your own music.

Does anybody know if
you can play both the GT5 soundtrack and your own music together or are they played seperately? I quite like some of the in-game tracks!

Similar issue. Copied music to PS3. Created playlist for GT5. Options GT5 and enabled Personal BGM. Got Music Trophy. Got personal music to play in GT5 but kept playing the same track over and over and... I quit GT5 and went back to playlist on PS3 and deleted track (hope to never hear again). Now, GT5 won't recognize ANY of my tracks even though the PS3 still plays them fine. Did you ever find a solution?
 
It's so bugged it's ridiculous. I set up my custom music, and it didn't work. I left all the settings as-is. All the sudden, two months later, it decides that it's going to start playing my tracks, but only online.

Now when it does work... I still have some gripes. Stop changing back go GT5 music every time I go to the UCD, tuning shop, or GT Auto. If I made a custom music selection, why would I want to hear GT5's music at those locations?

Got mine to work fine. Just had to delete/reload GT5 game data (fun). Still shows trophy music error but plays personal tracks and shuffles just fine. I did however have to select Personal BGM>select track then back out and repeat for it to stick. Hope this helps. Keep the rubber side down my brothers.
 
I was listening to my custom playlist for weeks with no problems, then one day I noticed it started playing songs from the gt5 list. I went into options to try to fix it and now both the menu and race personal BSM check boxes have a red line going through them and I can't get my music to play at all! Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes?
 
Have to make a playlist folder then select that instead of a single song ...

And ive downloaded the songs off GT5 that i liked so they play together :) even:
