Custom song tracks?

I was wondering how to make my own music list for GT5 using my songs. I have a new Ipod shuffle. When I plugged it into my ps3, It said there was nothing connected??? How do you do this???

I found that i had to transfer my music from library to a usb stick. You then plug usb into ps3 and upload your music to ps3. After that im not sure how to make custom list for gran turismo and iv been having difficulties with this. Forgive me if this is wrong and there is a quicker easier way but its the only one i know of.

I transfered my music onto a USB stick and put it on the PS3 from there.

Nothing that doesn't have iTunes on it will work. While iTunes is needed, you can't install it on the ps3. You can only put music from your Android phone or USB.

I personally use my phone because it connects to the ps3 as a media server wirlessly. With this I can transfer files from laptop to phone, phone to ps3, all without wires. You could also do this straight from a laptop that uses wifi but in my case everything's either on an external drive or my phone.
