Customisable Transmission Bug?

Just wonder if anyone else has noticed this...

I have put a fully customisable transmission on 2 of my cars so far, the Premium MA70 Supra '88 3.0 turbo and also the standard AE111 Corolla Levin BZR '98, but when I go to change the individual ratios its unchangeable/disabled. All I can change is the Top Speed. The information box says something like you can adjust the individual gear ratios only if you have a fully customisable transmission, which I have.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?
 
It seems that no-one can change the individual ratios, just the Final Drive. Maybe Chuck Norris can change them all... who knows?

Given that full damage / tyre+fuel wear aren't unlocked until later levels it's possible that this is a 'higher' feature too. That would seem silly, but the same is true of damage/wear in my opinion.

Failing that it was just omitted; maybe it will appear via patch?
 
I hope it is a case of leveling up. Getting the perfect ratio's for a certain track was an obsession of mine in GT prologue. I like you was a bit gutted when I couldnt do it.
 
I don't know if it is not unlocked or just disabled at the moment.

As for the full damage if there were full damage and especially mechanical damage and realistic repair bills. We would never get off beginer level without a Stealth car the way the AI likes to smash you around you would never earn enough credits to buy a car so maybe a good thing it is not enabled at low levels.

I am in the extreme races now and the only damage I have saw is minor cosmetic damage that seemed to disappear after the race.
