Cutting cornors

So I've been grinding the La Sarthe seasonal event for a bit and because it's only for the money and not the racing, I tend to cut the chicanes "a little" aggressive. But I was wandering how much you can cut the cornors in the chicanes, in real life, without getting a penalty.
 
In real life you will get one if you cut them unless you are spinning out of control, cant stop in time to make the corner or need to limp back to pit but you can't just cut through them.

You still have to take the chicanes.
You basiclly have to keep as close as you can to the rumble strip.

As far as I'm aware drivers can make full use of the rumble strips... But deliberately cutting the chicanes would incur a penalty... Perhaps a run through the pit lane, forcing them to slow to a crawl
 
As far as cutting corners on purpose: The rules state that you are off the track when all 4 wheels are outside the white line on the side of the track, so technically you can cut a corner to the extent that only your inside wheels remain inside the white line and you probably won't get a penalty

As far as accidental corner cutting: If you come into a corner too fast you won't get a penalty if you go onto the run off area but you still have to slow down as much as possible. If the stewards feel that you gained any time by cutting the corner you will incur a penalty
 
regarding driving the chicane after the long straight with 350 kmH ++ and expect the armco to do the steering; you can do this one time !
After that you most probably get disqualified by Mr. death :)
 
4 off with advantage gained = penalty, black flag, loss of position or DQ.

Don't do Zanardi Maneuvers!
